You know, the club that includes greats like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, and Back to the Future? Now that X-Men 3 is out, do you think that the trilogy has met the requirements to join?

IMO I think it does. X3 wasn't quite as good as X2 in terms of character developement, but Brett Ratner managed to pull off large-scale action scenes that the first two movies only hinted at, and he still was able to make the story be intelligent enough to be on par with the first two. Everyone's got an opinion though, which is why I started this poll. :)

why the **** would you start this thread for when theres already an existing one about trilogies?

No, because X1 and X2 weren't "cool". IMO.

Lord of the Rings is pretty far away from "cool".

Yes,but only if X-3 gives us the 20 minutes extended dvd edition.

BTTF, SW and Iny are the only cool trilogies in my world.

"Dont you know who I am? Im the Juggernaut, *****!"

Yeah, automatically makes me hate Brett Ratner right there. I actually walked out during the movie the first time I went to see it I was in such disgust.

hmm... i'm not sure, only time will tell.

there's something about how X3 ended that doesnt quite feel like an ending-- you know what i mean? because if it will just stop right there its feels more like a letdown, it lacks a certain kind of epic/ lasting feel to it compared to the other films from the "trilogy club".

Ya know, aside from the whole internet clip, I'm wondering why there are people who have a problem with this line. It's not like The Juggernaut's never announced himself as such in the comics. And even without the benefit of the clip on the net, they'd have added ***** at the end anyway, since they could get away with it in a PG-13 movie. I don't see why it's such a point of contention for some people.

far from it.

X1 was pretty damn cool the first time, but only because it was the first time. it was new. didn't age well though.

X2 is f***in awesome, but doesn't quite get to the level of the OT, BTTF or IJ.

X3 is just a big pile of dog s#!t dressed to make it look like an X-Men movie. but not only does it fail as "X-Men", it fails even worse as "movie".

IMO it's up there with the old Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and LOTR. I'm not saying it's as good or better than those, but it was a good trilogy.

X-Men was good as movie  and had low numbers in box office :down

X2 was awesome movie  and made good numbers in box office

X3 was bad movie :down and is making high numbers in box office

So I still think X2 was the best part in this trilogy.

Each to his own. Me and my brothers loved that line, and everyone in the audience laughed and cheered when he said it.

X3 did an excellent job of finishing the Wolverine character arc, which was what the movies were about, so I'll say yes.

All of the X-Men Movies had problems, I jsut feel it was a good way to start super-hero movies but hopefulyl someone comes along and does them better...

I hope for a Begins route in 10 years time.

Believe it or not, I'm a Wolverine fan. Also I'm a fan of Story, pace, development and good characterisation.

I thought it was really good. A little short, but they didn't have alot of time to make it.

NO, because only X2 was actually good. X1 was merely "okay" and X3 was flat-out MEDIOCRE.

Put James Cameron on the job. He's a action packed director
