Just curious as to know what you would of done to make this trilogy better.

Get prepared for bashing for making another thread about this. :csad:

I wouldn't make them. The original trilogy was good enough without them.

Anakin would have already been in training. No little boy crap.

Clone Wars would have started either at the end of the first one or the beginning of the second one.

No Jar Jar. <----most important change

Padme wouldn't have died at the end of trilogy.

We would have seen Anakin a much greater hero and a much better friend to Obi-Wan.

replace hayden christensen and natalie portman. have anakin kill jar jar. and for gods sake get rid of the cheesy dialogue, not that the original didnt have any, but it went way overboard.
Reveng of the Sith was long enough as it was, but i would have liked to see Vader in action.

what i posted plus everything above it ^. Anakin was supposed to be a bad ass hero, they best jedi of all, yet he didnt do much more than any other jedi did.

I agree.
Especially with the last one.

When you watch Episode IV, you expected to see some very strong bond/connection between Kenobi and Skywalker, yet in the prequels, they were barely together, on-screen, and I don't care about the training and being in a nest of gondarks off-screen. :cmad:

Oh, and make Anakin become Vader earlier, to where it is Vader and Palpatine who finish off the Jedi.

No Jar Jar, no Trade Federation, no aliens who can speak English.

I wouldn't try to write clever, snappy dialogue and "complex" storylines.

More cool dark Jedis like Darth Maul.

Better Battle Droids. They could have been better if they scrabbled around like giant insects.

I don't see why an adult Boba Fett couldn't be a character. He's as old as Obi-Wan in some of the non-canon novelizations.

We see armoured Vader in action at least once.

At least small but meaningful roles for characters like Tarkin, Mon Mothma and Dodonna.

Better acting, dont have a problem with the plots. Im one of the few, i know.

Number one thing, NUMBER ONE THING; don't have Lucas direct. He can produce, edit, I'm even happy with him writing, just not directing.

To direct, it would have to be people who can put together a fast paced, old-fashioned adventure and with little obvious stylistic traits of their own. I'm thinking Martin Campbell (Zorro, GoldenEye, Casino Royale), Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Carribean), Rusell Mulcahy (Highlander) and Wolfgang Peterson (Troy).

I believe Jar-Jar was intended to develop from gangly clown to serious hero, just like the fictional clown I forget the name of. Lucas all but buried him after the backlash from Episode I, but I'd have liked to see Lucas stick with his original idea.

It's not widely known, but Lucas actually asked John Williams to write a new theme tune for the prequels. i.e. not the legendary Star Wars theme tune. I'd love to hear what Williams came up with before he ultimately just played Lucas the classic theme and Lucas realised he couldn't change it.

Don't make them. Some things are just better left to the imagination.

easy...have lawrence kasdan write them (which i know lucas offered to him, but he was busy with something else so turned it down)....so, actually, wait till kasdan is free to write them.

I thought they were fine. I just would've made Clone Wars a movie on it's own with better music, the real actors and George Lucas as Director

yes...i'm very bored, hehe. here's my lame, quick attempt at writing a basic plot...

Episode 1, directed by Steven Spielberg - Obi Wan Kenobi has been given an assignment and sets out on his first mission as a Jedi KNIGHT. He defeats some enemies and accomplishes his mission on the planet Tatooine. On his way to see an old friend of his (Owen) a homeless, troubled teen tries to steal from Obi Wan but he resists. The teen tries to use the force on Obi Wan but Kenobi wins and calms the young lad. Obi Wan reads Anakin and decides the kid is too powerful to be left alone. After visiting Owen, he brings Anakin back to the Jedi Temple for fear that Anakin could fall into the hands of the wrong people and use his powers for evil. The council decides to take Anakin in and train him as a Jedi to correct his troublesome ways and to prevent anymore bad influences.

During an unscheduled visit by Senator Palpatine, Anakin is introduced to the Senator as one of the students with the most potential and is invited to dinner with Palpatine, the Queen of Naboo (Amidala) and a few other guests. Anakin uses his charm on Amidala and Senator Palpatine pushes the two to start dating (it won't be forbidden in MY remake dammit! hehe). Anakin trains at the Academy under Obi Wan's watch (who receives teaching advice from his master Qui Gon) and travels to Naboo every once in a while to see Amidala but a Darth by the name of Maul (using a single lightsaber) ends up kidnapping Anakin and Amidala. Maul brings them to the Trade Federation base.

Some more stuff happens and the Senate decides that it's time to fight the Trade Federation so Obi Wan and Qui Gon sneak onto their base to rescue the 2 love birds. Anakin and the Queen start escaping as soon as everyone in the base starts scrambling and "preparing for an attack". Obi Wan and Qui Gon find Anakin and Amidala and radio that they'll be out of the base in (?) minutes but Darth Maul is waiting in front of there ship. Anakin grabs Qui Gon's lightsaber and tries to lash at Darth Maul in revenge but Anakin is left with one arm. Obi Wan immediately attacks while Qui Gon and Amidala get Anakin onto a ship. Qui Gon runs back out and helps Obi Wan battle Darth Maul. Maul doesn't reveal his second blade until the middle of the fight and catches Qui Gon off guard. He falls and Obi Wan fends off Maul with Maul escaping. Obi Wan drags the barely breathing Qui Gon onto the ship that Anakin and Amidala are on and they make their escape just in time for the Trade Federation to be blown up.

Qui Gon leaves some words of advice for Obi Wan then disappears in Obi Wan's arms. Anakin gets a new arm and proposes to Amidala. The End...for now...

Okay...I've actually done a lot of thinking about this.

First I'd start with no Qui-gon. His character is pointless.
Episode I starts with Obi-wan and his apprentice protecting the Queen of Naboo (a sixteen year old woman who inherited from her father) from invading Mandalorian forces during the Clone Wars.
The Mandalorians have been cloning themselves to make their army larger in a short amount of time. Their leader is Jango Fett and his biological heir is Boba. They try get her to Coruscant, where she will be protected by the Jedi Order. Their ship is hit to hard by Mandalorian fire and the are forced to land in the near by Tatoo system. There they meet a young orphan named Anakin (16 years old in this version) who tells them he can fix their ship if they promise to take him with him. We later learn he wasn't an orphan, but ran away from home because of an abusive stepfather. Obi-wan senses the force in Anakin, and promises that he will take him before the council. During this time, Anakin and Obi-wan's apprentice become good friends, and there is flirtation between him and the Queen.
They get to Coruscant, where Chancellor Palapatine promises a full armada to put down this Mandalorian Threat. The council tells Obi-wan that Anakin is too old (this time he is), but Anakin proves he is not. Mace Windu and a small force of Jedi head back to Naboo with the armada.
They head back, and a huge battle begins.
On the surface, Obi-wan, His Apprentice and Anakin are ambushed by Darth Maul. The Queen, Mace and the jedi attempt to free the throne. The apprentice is killed and Maul now goes after Anakin. But Anakin proves himself to be a formidable Lightsaber fighter. Maul is not killed, however, because he is called back home by his master.
The fight on Naboo is over, The Republic wins. Mace slays Jango Fett, making young Boba swear vengeance for his father.

Episode II-4 years pass, The Mandalorians have not been seen since the battle of Naboo. Anakin has become strong in the force and has married the Queen of Naboo. In this version, love and marriage is allowed, just like it is in the Star Wars books that take place after Episode VI. Palpatine's time as Chancellor is coming to an end, but he does not want to give it up. As Dark Lord of the Sith, he conspires with the Mandalorians, giving them better cloning tech and equipment. The queen of Naboo tells Anakin she is pregnant with twins. Anakin is happy, his life could not be better, til the day Palpatine calls him to his office. Palpatine has become close friends with the young man. Palpatine tells him his plans to take absolute power, and that he wants to share it with him. As a war fleet of Mandalorian ships appears in the skies of Coruscant, Darth Maul enters the office. Palpatine knows that Anakin would want vengeance against Maul for killing his friend, and he uses that to his advantage. Anakin and Maul duel, as the Jedi temple is attacked. A chase scene begins, with Boba Fett (in the Slave I) chasing Mace Windu in the skylanes of Coruscant. Maul is defeated, and Anakin falls deeper to the dark side. Palpatine promises that Anakin will be his second in command, and can change the problems in the universe. He will give him power to protect his family from the Mandalorian invaders. Anakin agrees, and becomes his apprentice. But he must defeat the traitor in the Jedi Council, Mace Windu.
Mace reaches the offices of the Chancellor. Boba Fett shoots him in the chest, not a killing wound, but enough to bring him to his knees. As Boba Fett puts the gun against his head, Anakin barges out screaming "Traitor!!!" and cuts off Mace's head. Boba Fett blast away to safety. Palpatine tells him of another traitor, his master. A space chase begins, between Obi-wan and Anakin. Anakin is sthe superior, shooting Obi-wan down above the skies of Mustafar, a nearby planet made of molten material.
Obi-wan crashes, but gets out before his ship lands in the lava.
On the solid ground, the duel begins. Anakin, clouded by the dark side, accuses his master of treason. Obi-wan tells him that he's being manipulated.
Anakin, being too proud to admit he is being fooled, starts the fight.
The duel is pretty much the same. The end is different. His limbs are burned off, not cut. He is burned to his waist, and his hands are burned off. Obi-wan uses the force to pull him out of the lava, but leaves on Mustafar. He feels too much grief and failure to bring him back. He heads toward the Queen on Coruscant to tell her the news. At this time, Palpatine declares himself Emperor. The Mandalorian attack ends as Boba Fett gives over his power the Palpatine. Obi-wan knows that the children of Anakin would never be safe on Coruscant, so he takes what remain of the order (Yoda and a few others) and they leave to find refuge elsewhere and find the surviving Jedi.
Palpatine saves Anakin, and assumes Obi-wan died. Darth Vader is created. Palpatine's suspicions about Obi-wan are false, and the hunt to exterminate the Jedi begins.

Episode III- The Queen has given birth to Luke and Leia. Darth Vader hunts for his wife and former master.
The film takes place over many worlds. The Rebel Alliance begins.
It all culminates in a final huge space battle between the Jedi and Rebels Vs. the Empire. Darth Vader knows which ship his wife is in, and he hunts it down.
In the final moments, The Queen says her farewells to her children, Obi-wan and Bail Organa. Obi-wan promises to take Luke to his step-uncle and Bail agrees to raise Leia. Yoda tells them he will hide himself away, to be the last jedi trainer. She knows the only way for Vader to stop his pursuit is to assume that she, the twins, and Obi-wan are dead. The Queen tricks them, and stays on board. We see a look between Obi-wan and her. He understands why she stays back. The children and their protectors leave on escape pods as the Queen heads the frigate she is on toward the bridge of a Star Destroyer. As it explodes, Vader screams and begins to shoot down ships in rage. He doesn't care who they are.
The film ends the same way Episode III did, we see Vader, Palptine and Tarkin (who has a much larger role in the film) look on as the Death Star is constructed.

I know it needs work, but of course it would be revised and I left out stuff i thought because I'm getting tired of typing.

No Hayden Christiansen or Natalie Portman. Someone other than George Lucas to write the dialogue. Never show Anakin as a kid. Make Episode I have more to do with the others. And of course, no Jar Jar Binks.

Anakin gets frozen in carbonite, and sent to Jabba, so Padme has to...well, it writes itself.

First I'd start with no Qui-gon. His character is pointless.

The point of Qui-Gon is to show how the mentor is supposed to act in a mentor-Padawan relationship (Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan). Thus we can compare the Obi-Wan/Anakin relationship and see it's not working properly.

Qui-Gon also shows the viewer how a veteran, yet still in his prime (or slightly past it), Jedi acts. We need this because Obi-Wan is still a padawan in Episode I - which in turn he needs to be to show us the progression from padawan to Jedi knight, again so we can see it go wrong for Anakin.

And he was one of the best acted roles in the trilogy.

Obi-wan would already be a knight and have his own apprentice. We would see that relationship work til the apprentice is killed.

I would've had Lucas locked in his executive producer cage.
