Does anyone know if these series are still going?

I thought the first Issue of Howling Commandos was decent but it went downhill from then on, and Blade's first issue also wasn't exactly great...

What's the current status? Anyone know?

Blade's still going and I'm pretty sure Commandos was cancelled.

I don't even have to look, I know they're both bad (didn't even have to pick them up to tell that) and will be canceled soon if they aren't already

You know, I'm sure some people would have assumed that about Runaways at first too (new "Tsunami" line book with no pre-existing characters)...

Nick Fury's Howling Commandos got cancelled after only six issues. It was definitely one of the worst series I have ever read.

Howling Commandos was definately a stinker although i thought it had potential.

The new Blade has some of the worst art I have ever seen. If they find a good artist and use the movie version, they would probably have a winner.

Monsters working for Shield as some sort of special ops group. Horrible Artwork, so bad I couldn't even read the crappy story that went with it.

Blade sucks too. Why nobody can do anything with this character is beyond me.

Vampires are so overdone. Most writers worth their credit are probably just bored with em.

A new series with new characters has a chance of being better than a character who's on his, what? fourth or fifth try at a title? and he's only gotten that many tries because the movies did ok. They're hoping a book will sell based on the movies popularity, not because a writer has come to them with new, good ideas to use

Runaways had Buzz, people talked about it, people got other people willing to check it out

Did you hear ANYONE say anything about the new Blade series or Howling Commandos? No, they weren't even remarkable enough to bash. The only thing said about HC was how good awful the preview put in every marvel comic a month or two before it came out was, and we all saw that

There was a Blade thread and it was mostly about bashing.:o

And just when I though I'd never have to hear about Howling Commandos again....

I'm actually really enjoying the new blade comic.

Blades not bad it just needs a new artist.

I agree! The 1st issue was soooo horrible! I was confused about the story! But after that issue, the story has picked up. My gripe is with the artist. That has got to be some of the worst art ever! Looks almost as bad as the Wolverine artist when he was trackin down Nitro.

the story in the first issue sucked, so I stopped reading it...like, half of SHIELD are vampires and Blade blows them all up? including what's his face from Alias/Howling Commandos...and spider-man there for no reason...

That's my thoughts exactly. Get rid of Chaykin and all is well.

My same opinion. I kinda wish they did the movie version, but this different version's growing on me, and I'm curious to see more of his past.

Didn't pick up the first issue, breezed through it, read some of it, my final opinion: Meh. But now, I may be considerin it. Maybe. Seriously, maybe.

First issue was meh, but it has only improved from there. Of course Chaykin is an acquired taste, but I'm enjoying it.

The easiest way too do a good Blade comic is go MAX, give it to Mark Millar and dammit make sure he is drawn like f--kin Wesley Snipes Blade.

Quoted for truth!

Preach! :cmad::up:

Humberto Ramos isnt that bad, he unique. I personally like him.

another problem I have with Blade is they cant seem to decide what version of the character they want to use...he's part vampire, which the comic version of Blade NEVER was before, but he's not the movie version...
