Superman Returns So if you bought IMAX tickets for SR, are the 3D parts in it?

I'm confused... Is IMAX going to have the 3D feature or is there another IMAX called IMAX 3D that is seperate from regular IMAX?????

I bought my tickets for IMAX on fandango but there is no mention of the 3D feature.

IMAX and IMAX 3D are two different things, and Superman is being shown in both formats.

So if your theatre shows IMAX it might not show IMAX 3D

Yep, you got it. Even fewer theaters show IMAX 3D than regular IMAX.

from what i know there are certain segmets in the movie where it will be rendered in 3D (the plane sequence is one im pretty sure of)

i think some of the IMAX theaters doesnt have 3D capability, so you'd have to check with that IMAX theater you're going to if its 3D ready. if it isnt, then teh SR movie your gonna see is the version without the 3D rendering.

Ok, just checked my theatre. On the 27th which I bought tickets for... It's regular IMAX. Then on the 28th, there is 3D IMAX available. Hmm, should I trade my tickets in for the 28th 3D showing?

I'm thinking I will see it regular IMAX first. Then I will view it the second time with IMAX 3D.

I asked this earlier (no response). I was worried for a moment, and just checked my nearest IMAX and it is in 3D.

I want 3D first. When you hear someone (Wells) say it is the single greatest cinematic moment they've ever seen, you get a bit hyped.

Bought my tickets for the Imax 3D showing of SR at the Channelside Cinemas in Tampa for 3pm on June 28th. Even got the day off work. What the hell, y'know? Havn't seen an Imax movie in a long damn time, and never seen a 3d one.
