So now they're suddenly promising the costume...

Tony Stark said:
Reaching for the light, elongating his body to get a better look. Anything but him standing there like a dunce.
To be fair, all of them are standing there like dunces.

Trying to stir up controversy that isn't there is more like it.

What controversy? I'm pointing out that the pic makes it look like the costumes are blue. Sure it could be lighting or it could be totally unintentional.

The poster for the Little Mermaid has a big giant penis in the background, the word is it was totally unintentional they were trying to draw King Neptune's castle and they drew something that resembled a phallus, but it's hard for me to believe that no one noticed that before it went to print.

The poster makes it look like the classic colors of the costumes. We kept hearing we were going to get the classic outfits. We know they are doing reshoots.

It's total speculation on my part, but it seems too odd to me to be coincidental.

If I were spreading rumors, I'd pull crap like people have on this site saying "I have a friend who works for the studio, and they told me, blah, blah, blah..."

They'll probably just stick a four on the containment suits them have now.

And here's what Miles Teller said recently...

"The more superhero stuff you get to do, the cooler it is," Teller said of the already-scheduled sequel. "We'll see what happens, but yes, absolutely, as the thing evolves they should start to materialize to the Fantastic Four people more readily associate with."

Seeing as how the only clear shot we got of Ben Grimm is when he was with a bicycle, I'm surprised they don't have Jamie Bell doing the backpedaling. Amirite.

This is the same Miles Teller that went on and on about how different this will be from the source, and said "we're ruining the franchise for a lot of people".

Guess they realised that no, they wouldn't just "see it anyway".

That's how they'd do all those old TV movies like Captain America and Dr. Strange. You'd get to the end of the movie and there'd be a half second shot of them posing in the real costume.

Apparently, that's what they plan to do in the new Daredevil series...*coughcough*

Yep, planning from the beginning to use a proto suit lifted directly from the pages of a beloved run of the series is totally the same as having bungee cord ridden "containment suits" for the entire movie that look nothing like any run of any series then in a last minute panic due to the backlash saying they will go towards the classic look is totally the same thing.

No,but plopping the "real" costume in at the end for a brief cameo is.

Look,I love Marvel as much as the next guy,but I gotta call a spade a spade. They are risking a lot with this "proto costume" Daredevil. If the payoff is unfulfilling,it's going to be rife with unhappy campers around here. It's really no different than the F4 apologists saying "Wait til next time!"

I get what you're saying and there's alot of truth to it. I guess I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt to Daredevil as it's a TV show format, not a feature film.

What's funny is I was unaware of the comic adaptation that used the black street garb, that the costume was originally based on, and rather I thought it was being rehashed from the old Bill Bixby Hulk show where they had Daredevil as a guest on the show:

While we're on the subject did they ever actually confirm he would only have the red suit at the very end? All I know for sure is that they've been saying for a while now that it will appear but they need said when.

We're not getting the costumes till the final shot. That's my prediction.
I think they'll appear briefly earlier

I bet the suits are something the Baxter Institute's testing for the military like "survival in extreme conditions" but Reed ends up using them with unstable molecules by the end of the film.

Agreed. The black suit may come straight from the comics, but it looks AWFUL. DeKnight has promised an evolution of the costume, so I'm hoping we'll get something a bit more pleasing to the eye at least by the halfway point.

Based on what? MBJ made it sound like the prototype suits were basically the only thing we were going to get, going so far as to calling the other costumes "cheesy".

You're not wrong, but Marvel has earned the trust of viewers everywhere. Much more so than Fox. Also, even if the final suit is underwhelming, that still does not change the fact that everything about this show looks like how a daredevil live action adaption should look and feel in every single way. Can't say the same about FFINO.

Not only is there comic precedence for this(it's clearly for fans of the character since the general audience doesn't give a **** either way)

Not only have they told us we're getting the red suit

Not only have they already teased the red suit

It's not at all comparative to this movie, whose ugly, dumb disability containment suits fly in the face of decades of Fantastic Four comic continuity.

Daredevil is getting his Man Without Fear costume. That's in no way comparable to what the FF are wearing which look nothing like what we've come to expect.

Even the most die hard DD fan was not asking for the DD proto costume to be used for 90% of this series. Now I could be wrong and the classic one is intro-ed earlier, but they've marked this as his costume pretty much without question. So I doubt I'm saying too much in expecting a similar situation of "last minute costume-itis" like the new FF film purportedly has.

It's only the first season. I'd rather see the costume from The Man Without Fear than his ugly yellow suit.
