Yes. It would be a logistical nightmare. Not just between Disney and Fox and their studio heads but also on a producer level between Lauren Schuler Donner and Kevin Feige. (Keep in mind that Donner is not involved with the FF reboot.) The question is whether or not it would be worth it.
Keep in mind that Marvel can still make a Fantastic Four or X-Men animated series and then produce merch for that.
Flint Marko said:The DD proto-costume thing would be a bigger deal to me if the series looked like absolute garbage and a complete departure from the comics, sort of like how this FF movie is turning out. As it stands the series looks fantastic and the early buzz on it has been tremendous, so worst case scenario we don't get the red suit until the last episode? Not ideal, but if the series is as good as it looks, no one will bat an eye.
This movie does not have that going for it.

Well thats possible since FF2 sequel already has a release date while Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage and The Defenders have to be made and released first before a Daredevil 2 if there's gonna be one.
Huh. Learn something new every day. Apparently it's news to everyone that major motion picture studios make major motion pictures to make money...

What is this in response too?
The FF2 release date means nothing. There's a better chance the Jacksonville Jaguars win the superbowl next year than there will be an FF2 made.
Nah. Studios hastily set these release dates all the time.Eh.
Or it could mean that Fox wants to release a sequel by any means necessary. Fox's Percy Jackson film got a sequel and that film earned less money than Rise of the Silver Surfer. And this is Fantastic Four.

Sinister Six was set for November 11, 2016. The Amazing Spider-Man 3 was lined up for 2018. We all know how that turned out.
Fox cancelled Fantastic Four 3. They also cancelled X-Men Origins: Magneto which was planned to be released in 2009, then was pushed back to January 2, 2011.This is Fox though. Also it was the 2nd time that Sony canceled a Spider-Man film, so nothing new.
However, with Fox, I don't think they canceled a Marvel-based film that already got a release date. So like I said if Percy Jackson got a sequel despite its underwhelming box-office numbers, I'm sure Fox would be willing to give Fantastic Four another chance incase its box-office performance is not good.

Fox has already tried multiple attempts at the Fantastic Four. Thus far, it hasn't paid off for them. If this continues the losing streak, and Marvel can offer an appealing deal, Fox might very well give the rights up.
And how did all of this work out for Percy Jackson?Eh.

It also covered Xavier's origin and the X-Men's origin. It was an entirely different movie.Umm what? Those films never got a release date especially X-Men Origins: Magneto. Also X-Men: First Class happened which covered Magneto's origin.
Not much smaller. And all signs indicate Trank's FF will be less profitable at the box office.psylockolussus said:And this film probably has a smaller budget than Rise of the Silver Surfer.

A Daredevil 2 was also planned. The point is, Fox isn't above cancelling planned sequels.
The release date is really giving you that much faith in Fox's loyalty to the FF? It's more common for studios to use release dates as placeholders these days than it was ten years ago. Maybe Fox is catching on.They haven't canceled one that HAD or HAS a release date.
Read my post again.

Or maybe they are just confident that the sequel is gonna happen.
