The guy who had 160 issues of Ultimate is more important than the guy with 40+ issues and is more relevant now in that title? That poll result is astonishing. It's almost as if Peter Parker is the definitive Spider-Man or something.
...there actually is more than one Spider-Man.

No, NO.
We want the new guy.
I actually want Miguel O'Hara.
Of course Peter is the most known Spider-Man, but do we need yet another story from him? They have a chance to do something really really groundbreaking with this - why not go for it?
Using Miles instead would be huge.
In that case, that GL movie should've been about Alan Scott and Jay Garrick should've been CW!Flash

Exactly, so why is this even an issue? Other people have worn the cowl. Does anyone see them making a Batman movie without Bruce anytime soon?None
This is what Im saying I dont get itExactly, so why is this even an issue? Other people have worn the cowl. Does anyone see them making a Batman movie without Bruce anytime soon?

95% of the Miles supporters are just fake caring about diversity.
It would be New Coke all over again.Spider-Man/ Peter Parker is almost synonymous with Marvel comics. He's their flagship character and a brand icon. It would be like Coca Cola somehow not having the right to use their own logo but managing to get it back, and then using some cheap knockoff logo like Walmart brand Cola.
