Transformers So... what do you notice for the first time with the DVD?

Another thing I noticed that was it was definitely Optimus coming out of the pool! As he was hiding in the tree, you could see the outline of his face. Plus the fact of the dramatic choir music.

For the love of god! It was Ironhide! I wished Bay had cleared this up in the commentary!

If you freeze frame the shots where they briefly show the faces of the protoforms, you will see that the are all exactly alike. The people who've made the movie have stated that it's Ironhide coming out of the pool. ILM has stated that it's Ironhide coming out of the pool. It's Ironhide coming out of the pool.

If you're still not convinced, think about this. If it's Ironhide out in the middle of the field, then he had to run off and find that Topkick some place pretty far away since there was nothing around where he landed. In the meantime, Optimus has to now take off from an obviously residentual area, find the highway and scan a passing big rig. It just makes more sense for Ironhide to be the one coming out of the pool.

Okay, I'm watching the movie (yes, again) right now and noticed the Bee has a lion in his dashboard. What's with the lion? A Narnia connection maybe?

Okay, another thing I noticed. In the scene where Sam's at his house looking for the glasses and Optimus is pushing him to find them quickly and his parents are arguing and all that, Ironhide says the parents are very irritating.

Watch closely and Ratchet encourages him. I had to laugh so hard when Ratchet said "YEAH! DO IT!" when Ironhide brought out his cannons.

Too funny.

for the millionth time, it's ironhide in the pool and optimus prime in the field. how does anyone not get this??? if you need more convincing watch the HD version with the web enabled feature on and ironhide's picture pops up when he comes out of the pool and the same for optimus when he crashes in the field.

Frenzy's dead. They may bring on 'Rumble' though. In the commentary during the Air Force One scene, Bay said he had ideas for more little bots like Frenzy that he'll put in TF 2.

Also, they never explained what happened to Maggie and Glen in the end.

Well, IMO it looks like Optimus.

Ironhide isn't the main character in the movie. It seems random that Ironhide would have a very climatic opening while Optimus is just shoved to the side.

It's like this:

Dark smoke appears. A misty figure is seen in the distance. The choir in the music rises. The figure is getting bigger. The drum beats increase. The shadowy figure comes out of the darkness to end up being...

Yeah, that's his classic G1 nose-dive transformation.

I swear, I could hear a noise from one of the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park when the Nokia phone was transformed due to the All Spark's power.

I noticed that in theaters. I do believe they're dead 'bots.

I couldn't tell either but I'm thinking maybe a combo: some are tied up there, and some died there.

I noticed when Sams dad is looking out at the yard after the autobots come (the long shot where the Autobots are hiding around the house) he says "we have a blue transformer" I think its probably the only mention of a "Transformer" in the whole movie.

I think you mean "blown" transformer.

Transformed is mentioned...but you're right, that's the only mention of a transformer, and it's not even made toward the 'bots.
