Comics so...ya think they'll ever bring...

K just because you Guys are old and married and have kids doesn’t mean Spider-Man Should be! He was probably here before you and will be here long after.

I know you want to relate with him but lets face it if he aged with the rest of us he would be 60 some. let it go give it to the younger generation.

I would love to see them bring her back into the picture.

Looks like they've introduced a son into superman's life and batman's.
I know people are going to say that the supes kid was a singer invention in the movie. But remember DC came out and said "Well, Lois in Clark didn't get married in the comics till they got married on TV first. So you never know what might happen."

Will it age him? Yes, but most die hard fans are tired of a "kid" peter parker. This whole making him Iron Man's sidekick is an attempt to make hime seem younger again and 90% of the fan's HATE it.

The issue the publisher's have is after 40 years thier is a feeling of thing getting "old" so they try crazy things to breathe new "life" into the character. The fans get outraged and they go, what made this character greate before we screwed him up? And for some reason they thought making peter act like a naive kid was it.

This is a more natural progression to bring something new to the table. And yes becuase he is married this wife can be a stay at home mom. And it doen't have to be a real issue at all. Do your kids affect your ability to go to work every day?

No one wants a super hero that flirts with all the other female characters anymore. That's so 80's so saying it's tying him down is a lame argument. He's a super hero and as such should have a high moral code anyway.

And finally one day they will have to have an end to the Spidey Mythos. Why not plan his retirement and have his daughter take up the mantle in the marvel universe one day?

The baby is dead, at least that is what I got from it.

When Norman was fighting Peter he kept ranting about how he took from him what Peter had taking from him, in his mind Peter killed Harry so he killed May.

As for Kaine, he stole one of the five artiefacts before losing it again, on of the Scriers said, we had trouble with Kaine but we have delivered the package

Would it make much sense, to go to all that trouble of kidnapping the baby, just to kill it off screen away from his nemisis? Or would putting it away for future use and than lying about it anyway to Pete, work just a little better?

When I read the story (Revelations) I was... 14 and I wanted May to come back into it. I'm almost 20 now and I want the baby to come back into it. So I'm not old and not married. I think the problem is you're obviously like 8 years old or something and you havn't read the original stories with Pete and pregnant Mary Jane to see that Pete really is a family man. Heck, read ANY spider-man comic dude. The core of it is that Pete does what is right because he has the love of his family, whether that be Aunt May or Mary Jane. He doesn't want to let them down like he did Uncle Ben, George Stacy, Gwen Stacy or Harry Osborn. Heck he does it for his "brother" (clone) Ben Reilly. He's a family man, he deserves a family. That means children. Its the natural progression. And May did not die. She'll show up. One day. (When JQ leaves and they run out of other stories/ one of my generation starts writing for them).

The younger generation can get on board or read Ultimate Spider-Man. Peter Parker hasn't been a kid since the early 60s. He's a 20-something and probs will be forever now. He's old enough for children.

I was a teenager back when MJ was pregnant... I wanted Peter to have a child, because it seemed natural for him... He became a man, he got married... a child would be the next natural step for him... I don't want him to be 60... but I also don't want to see a late 20s behaving like a teenage sidekick/brain eating spider god with spikes of death coming out of his wrists...

IF you are a good writer, you CAN write an adult Peter Parker in his late 20's/early 30's that can have a wife and child without "aging" him. Christ, the Richards have had Franklin now for about 30 plus years and we don't see them behaving like grand-parents.

Good characterization AND good storytelling are earmarks of any decent writer.

Unfortunately, the majority of Marvel writers lack the ability to tell a good tale within the confines of continuity.

And if someone wants the teenage Peter Parker, then they can get spoonfed Ultimate Spider-Man.
The Spider-Pablum for all lazy Spidey fans who can't handle 40 years of history.

:whatever: :whatever: :whatever:

Same here! I first read Revelations when I was a freshman in high school. Now I just turned 21 and I'm a senior in college. Bring back May!

Those'll be the days, won't they? I'd be nice to see some writers from my generation. Writers who GREW UP with the MJ/Peter marriage just like the older writers grew up with Gwen or Kitty Pryde in X-Men.

I would love to see how May earned her nickname "Mayday".

May as a wild misbehaving adorable toddler. A bouncy little brat that is always making messes and being loud.

Anyone who has ever spent anytime with two year olds and thinks that they are boring obviously had a large supply of ether on hand.:spidey:

I already had 2 kids at age 22. Obviously you're probably about 14 yrs old and can't see farther than the tip of your nose.

Go read Ultimate if you wanna read teenage stories with teenage dialogue.

What I saw was a drug that put MJ into early labour and killed the child in the womb. On a personal note I hope they do bring her back, MJ was preggers for about 3 years our time and well over a year Marvel time.

As for the guys who feel it would age Spider-Man, in my opinion it is not his age that I relate to but the fact that he is a normal guy, and normal guys grow up, get married and have children( well most normal guys)

Yeah...we'd hat efor the younger generation to actually put forth some effort and read more than 22 pages a month. Reading back issues is SO much work, right?

Go read Ultimate Spider-man. It's good, and you can have all the continuity-free teenage melodrama you can stand.

Thats not fair, not everybody can afford to pay for back issue's. i'm lucky being from the UK where they print a comic called Astonishing Spider-Man who print back issue's otherwise I would still not of had the opportunity to read anything pre-clone saga

Trying to collect all back issues (especially if you're a newbie) would also be tedious!

I just started reading spider-man comics a couple of years ago... But after I got hooked, it didn't take me long to be up to speed. Between the Essentials (cheap), the first 40 years of ASM on DVD, and websites like Donald's, Spiderfan.org and Samruby.com, I've read, or read about, almost all Spidey's history.

The graphic novels were a bit of an investment, but if I didn't have means, I'd probably shop ebay and half-priced bookstores.
