The Dark Knight Some Possible Joker Info.

And off we go

He was on his way to a dinner-buisness meeting (it's 6:45 in LA remember)
but I asked him about the Joker mask-burning thing. He told me he had read the script once and couldn't site specifics other than Joker's mask doesn't get burned to his face. He did say however that Bats is in-advertantly involved with "pissing the Joker off something awful with some physical dysfigurement" but right when I asked what it was he cut me off and said he had to go. I told him to call me later and he said ok.

That's what we have for now.

Woo!

lol i finally get some skinny and only one person is around to respond.

You guys drive me crazy sometimes. lol

PS: I can confirm via him though.....the whole reason Bruce changes the suit, is true.
We're talking about the Joker stealing the bat-suit, right? If so, kick-ass!

Nice. I just wanted to be sure that stupid mask thing was unfounded.

Lag is tough around here tonight, thanks for the effort Anjow.

[EDIT]: Oops, I posted this before I read the entire thread, so this "mask burning into his face" thing has already been mentioned.

But I don't think it's too implausible an idea, frankly. How do you have a borderline personality homicidal criminal (who wears a Joker mask) actually resemble a crazy clown?

Well, in a first encounter with Batman, a Joker-mask-wearing Jack Napier (who already leaves a Joker card at his crime scenes) gets set on fire, and can't take the rubber mask off. The mask burns and melts into his face. (Or in a more conventional vein, Napier gets sprayed with acid in some way, which also melts the mask.)

Consequently, the grotesque features and coloration of the mask are largely superimposed on top of Jack Napier's burned skin, and are impossible to remove. His former "mask" is now fused to his face.

And thus, an already crazy criminal becomes completely unhinged, and his "escalation" could involve trying to destroy Batman -- and the Tumbler -- by burning, blowing him up and/or dousing him in acid.

He hasn't mentioned Joker stealing the bat suit at all. He had told me that Bruce needed something because he had problems with water weighing down the bat-suit at one point or another. He never said if it was because he had to ditch out of the batmobile or anything of the sort, nor did he mention that Bats was drowning. He just said the suit got weighed down by water. My first impression of that was that it rained heavily or something of the sort and the suit slowed him down in terms of fighting or what not and he would get hurt/the bad guy gets away. Something of that nature. But there was no way I was gonna post that, because god forbid I was wrong, i'd get mutilated on here. But after UBU posted that, i was like "bingo. That makes sense"
Oh. Sounds good, and quite plausible.

Personally I don't mind if he's Joker before his face gets messed up, as in he's always been mad. I actually prefer that to one scarring incident sending a normal man bonkers. But if he leaves Joker calling cards before and then just happens to physically turn into a clown, that's harder to swallow.

In the opening scene Joker is already scarred so that probably means a flashback of Joker's disfigurement. I dunno if I want another Batman made me into the Joker story though, maybe its not directly Bat's fault.

Awesome work Anjow

As usual, internet fanboys manage to pull crazy assumptions out of nowhere after misreading fairly simple comments.

Those of you who think the mask will be burned to his face need to take a deep-breath and re-read the statement. Nowhere does it suggest a mask will be attached to his face; it says plainly that he wears a mask, and that later his face takes on a clownish appearance permanently. You're connecting these statements, but they are unrelated.

Adam already corrected himself, maybe you didn't read his post properly

I just hope they show us Joker soon so we can finally put all this mask **** to rest. *Crosses fingers for the next two weeks*

Wow! Where the hell have I been? Lol :oldrazz:

This stuff is awesome! Finally something to talk about, even if it isn't true. With all this talk and whatnot, and now that it is May, anyone see a teaser coming really, really soon...?

EDIT: Even Iron Man has got some promo images out, and isn't that coming out just before or after TDK? Where's the promotion WB?

Hey, everybody. I've been watching the boards for a while and hadn't had the courage to join in the talk until now. Anyway, I have a theory as to how the disfiguration might figure in. Obviously, if Napier (if that's the name he's going by in TDK) is pre-transformation during the bank robbery, then he already shows a "fetish" for clowns. So what if the disfiguration is mostly just his skin getting bleached, scarred, etc. He ends up looking like a freak, but adds make up to make himself look clownish again ala The Dark Knight Returns. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

idk about the batsuit being waterlogged. sure, it's plausable, but it just doesn't seem ... big enough i guess

So...finally read through the whole six pages...sounds okay if its legit, though I was kinda hoping for no origin, at least not cause of Bats. Anyways, Anjow, you're the man bro, any updates?

I've just spent the last few minutes debating about posting this because, for starters, I really don't think it's true. Well, I think the guy is telling the truth about what Heath's stand-in is supposed to have said, but I believe his info is based on assumptions.

Besides which, Heath's stand-in didn't look young nor blond to me (perhaps Syren can shed some light on that?) but anyway:

http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-iz7uxVM1cfLyKUS67PI-?cq=1&p=3235

As I have said numerous times - that idea does not work for me. However, the sides pretty much disprove it so methinks Heath's supposed stand-in is either spinning Duck Tales or making assumptions. I also really don't buy the idea Heath just went and blabbed this to him.

Having said that, we have nothing else worth talking about and there's always the chance it's actually true.

Lemme hear you all say it with me - THIS IDEA SUCKS! :woot:

EDITED TO ADD: Let's also bear in mind the many denials by Jett, Gill and other people in the know that the Joker will be wearing a mask...I definitely think is crap. Eh, the mods can close this if they want.

If this is true, I'll kill a kitten!

Adam already corrected himself, maybe you didn't read his post properly

Adam? I don't know what you're talking about. If you meant AdmNelson, I was not responding specifically to him, but to all those who have suggested the mask-burning idea.

nothing at the moment. Awaiting him to call me back. He was on his way to a dinner-meeting when I last talked to him, he said he'd call me back.

Please keep in mind, this is the kind of guy I don't wanna barrage his phone with calls. Don't wanna cut ties ya know?

Hey man thanks. And I know what you mean about the ties and all. Yesterday me and Nolan were and the phone and I started pressing him a little...I mean....no....I've said too much. **Jumps out the window** :oldrazz:

Dude, Anjow. You are awesome. Thanks for the scoop.

Oh...oh wow that hurt. :( Never jump out of window unless you're on fire and dressed like a Bat. :oldrazz: Alright I'm off, Anjow thanks again bro. Hopefully when I come back to this thread tomorrow, something will be confirmed. Again, Anjow on behalf of the TDK "hypers", thanks for the info.

Oh, and how can I forget Miranda. ;) You're the man...I mean....the wo-....**Jumps out of same window** Until tomorrow. :oldrazz:

Erm, maybe I missed something here, but why are we believing Anjow? I mean, isn't this usually the part where everyone is suspicious? It wouldn't be the first time a long-time member made something up out of boredom.
