In the interest of me not getting 50 pm's a day about what is going on, I will tell you what I was told.
FIRSTLY, READ ALL THE CAVEATS IN MY FIRST POST.

The make up/fx test were for the character Captain America. He was handed a shield and made to pose with it. I would not have thought Cap, but he had to pose like he was throwing and catching the shield
