Hulk (2008)

I'd give this one to the 2008 Hulk because he seems more like a fighter and he has shown that he can get stronger as he gets angrier. But the main advantages the 2003 Hulk has is that he can grow in size as he gets angrier & he has an incredible healing factor.

Look dude 2008 hulk wins hands down in every department IMO, there is no other.

If you didn't notice, I also said that he'd win as well, but it's not like he'd win very easily. This fight could go on for a very long time considering the fact that both have shown their ability to become stronger as they get angrier multiple times.

*sigh*... nice pic of 03 Hulk there, coulnt find a worse one?

03 wins in the CG, only 08's design is miles better, everything else was poor, especially the skin, its was horrible, it looked like some wierd human/elephant skin. I hated the veins, it does not equal strength, and it make the hulk looked like a wrestler who's taken too much steroids.

In a fight, 03 wins again, he's bigger, can take more punishment and his healing power is way more faster than 08's.

Since when did design matter? If you want to be blatantly honest, the new Hulk's CGI was more consistent and was good all the way through. There were times when the CGI in the 2003 movie looked much too cartoony. Plus, the veins made him more intact with the comic look.

TIH's Hulk design: 8.8/10
Hulk's design: 7/10

Now, as I've said before, this Hulk has more fighting experience & has even been around longer than the 2003 Hulk.

about your consistant line, 03 Hulk design was changed throughout that movie on purpose, its not a fault but its actually a thing they did on purpose. ang's Hulk grew into a man, he wasnt born one.

Please point out one of these cartoony moments, i really dont get complaints like that, when did a cartoon have that good CG?

The veins made him more intact with the late 90's comicbook Hulk, Ang's hulk was made to look like the Hulk from the very first issues, more human and less like a steroid abuser.

That's not even what I meant. If you go back and actually read what I posted, you'll see I said the CGI was inconsistent, not his actual face. I have the DVD so I know why he changes & all that.

For one, when he first changes, and throws his fists into the air, it looks very cartoony. Technically speaking, neither movie had bad CGI, but the 2003 movie had more cartoony.

Hah, go pick up a Hulk comic book. The 2003 Hulk looked much too human facial wise, the Hulk from the first issues looked like an absolute monster and was intended to be monstrous, which was shown by Betty constantly calling him an ugly monster. The Hulk was always supposed to be buff and have a body that looks inhuman. Stop complaining about the veiny muscles, they enhanced the design and gave him a better look.

the vien issue is about opinion, so i dont really care what you think about that, its just not right for me, never will be.

I got the first issues with the DVD, his face is very human, much more so than it is now, his forehead is very much like that guy from the Munsters but other than that, his face, his body is very human, its just big and grey.

about the cartoony stuff, you only pointed out one moment, you got any others?... no one here is saying that Ang's Hulk was flawless.

here's a shot of Hulk inside the issue..

yeah, he looks just like a human

you really think the pic i posted looks like that?... the only thing they have in common is the larger than normal forhead but, i've heard that there are, you know, people, you have longer forheads.

Other than their forheads, everyhting else, the eyes, the nose, the jaws, the facial structure, all look human, very human.

Yeah, but they only very human when you take out many of their physical characteristics. Btw, yes, I think they look similar, because the Hulk's appearance at that time was based off of Frankenstein's monster.

i know that he was based off of frankenstien, my point is that, without his size and his forhead, Hulk looked human, his body wasnt all the muscular either, he was just big guy with a big forhead who was super strong, its only in TTA that someone else came in after Kirby left and gave him that neanderthal (sp) look and then people started to change his design when ever they wanted to.

And there's a problem with changing the design? There have been good designs, and bad designs, but there's nothing wrong with changing it. I really thought they did great with TIH's Hulk design, and he turned out more monstrous than '03's Hulk, which was a plus.

i didnt say there was a problem with changing the design. I agreed with you on 08's design, its miles better. Just didnt like the veins, thats what i was really complaining about. On that point, i like Ang's, he didnt look like a wrestler, his skin was smooth, the way it should be.

The skin on Ang's design looked too rubbery for me. I prefer '08's design because it's more along the lines of what the Hulk would look like if he were real. To be honest, I think the '03 Hulk has a powerlifter look and the '08 Hulk has a bodybuilder look to him. Most bodybuilders in real life look disgusting but the 2008 Hulk didn't look too big to me. The look was perfect for me.

Minus the viens and the elephant skin, it would have been perfect for me too.

Elephant skin? Lol

The skin looked like it was hard & couldn't be penetrated. The 2003 version had rubbery skin that looked somewhat bad at times.

The '03 design was a lot better. The proportions, the color, the face, everything.

The face? He didn't even look remotely frightening. In the words of Stan Lee, the Hulk is supposed to be a monster & be scary. The 2008 Hulk actually has a look that could frighten someone. The 2003 Hulk had a face that looked as if he was going to cry all the time. Loved both designs, but fact is the 2008 design is better.

Opinion, not fact.

Nah, it's fact. I mean, for one, the look is more in tact with the comics, '03 Hulk's look wasn't.

all it needs is someone to come along and draw him with a more human face, still, its opinion, not fact.
