I never said welfare and I never said they were suing me.
Uh there are other things besides welfare that they use and do not pay a cent for. Most work but as the stats above tell you it is undocomented cash transactions that they governemnt cannot monitor and therefore taxes are not payed.

Not every state has taxation on goods and foods from grocery stores are not taxable items. Some states have income tax.

Workers, people who are part of this country, pay taxes. It is withdrawn from your check each and every month. Those people also pay federal income taxes. However, illegals don't because they supposedly don't live here. You are right on the employers as well though. What they are doing is wrong and should be prosecuted. But they pay taxes at the end of the year anways because they are legally part of this country, illegals do not.

Regardless of the authenticity of the statistics above. Illegal Immigration is a problem. The major problem is the lack of Income Tax deducted from their "pay checks." A legal American workers puts nearly all their paycheck back into the American Economy/Government one way or another - however when an illegal worker works, pays NO taxes, and sends half their paycheck to Mexico that money leaves the economic cycle.

Times that one Illegal by the amount of non-tax paying illegals out there, and its like taking the drain plug out of our economic system.

If they come here through the right legal channels, have a job, and pay taxes. More power to them - welcome to the USA.

What irks me is that hospitals in the LA are apparently not allowed to turn away illegals, but for some reason, they can turn me away because I have no insurance. I don't know how true that is, but my aunt, who researches this stuff pretty meticulously (since there is a general election coming up) was ranting about that last night

Hospitals everywhere are not allowed to turn away anyway in an emergency.

Doctors and hospitals are allowed to do that. If no one bought insurance and came in for free health care, how would doctors make any money? I think if you don't have insurance or money to pay for your hospital visits, emergency or not, you should either be turned away or sign or have a family member sign on a legal voucher to promise to pay back the amount of the bill. Something permissible in a court of law. The Healthcare system looses billions of dollars to illegals each year needing emergency health care that they won't pay back.

So reasonably law abiding citizens like myself are screwed if a bus hits us, but some guy who's not even supposed to be here can get morphine for a hangnail. That sucks.
