During the hospital explosion scene, when the camera starts to pan back a bit, down the bottom of the screen you see something RUN and its on fire, then it stops dead in its tracks and falls to the floor, I saw this the first time and it shocked me, the second time I saw it I pointed it out to my girlfriend and she thought it was someone too, the people next to us after the film said they overheard me and agree too

Next time you go see The Dark Knight, look for it

Yes, I am very sure. I've seen the film 4 times now and its there everytime, next time you see the hospital explosion, look near the bottom of the screen the whole time

Theres no way i could do that, i cant look away from an exploding hospital. :D

You still see the hospital blow up, but its just near the bottom of the screen

Sure it's not a piece of burning wreckage?

well thats why I'm asking you guys, but a piece of wreckage wouldnt move like it did and then just randomly stop and fall

is anyone seeing the movie again tonight? or tomorrow?

Yes, someone did die, but no one in that scene. It was a stunt that went horribly wrong. I think it happened overseas. That's why in the Memorial to Heath there is another name there as well.

In all respect, I think it's probably just a piece of the building that might have been rolling on the ground and then stopped or maybe they way it fell, it could be a million different things.

This kind of reminds me of the old Wizard of Oz question and the midget that committed suicide on set. No offense, but that was a bird and this I'm sure is just a piece of the building still on fire.

I noticed that there were two names to the "in memory of" at the end as well. Anyone know who that was or what happened? Did it actually have to do with the making of the film? I felt a little bad for not knowing who that was after all the hubbub about Ledger's death.

I saw it in IMAX. I thought it was a piece of the building.

The other person who died was a special effects guy named Conway Wickliffe who died when he crashed a vehicle at a special effects facility.

I saw it on IMAX too. The movements looked too fluid for it to be wreckage

and LOL @ The Wizard of Oz munchkin hanging, thats the first thing that popped into my head when I saw it

if anyone is seeing it again anytime soon, keep an eye out

Okay, I'm seeing it this morning and I'll look for it. You say it's at the bottom of the screen, right? I'll let ya know when I get back. I promise I will keep an open mind about it, but honestly I think if anyone was injured or killed, we would have heard about it. I mean look at all the craziness going on with Quantum of Solace. Like I said though, I will keep an open mind for ya!!

im more than likely 99.9% wrong, but its just really weird

wasnt that the building they actually built and then blew up? they only had one take on it, so if it did happen which it probably didnt, producers would consider it keeping it in

if im right, ill probably be assassinated by WB or something lol

Maybe it was Lau, still burning with the mob money!

HAHA poor Lau, just think about it: he survives burning with the mob money, drags himself all the way to Gotham General Hospital for treatment, just as he gets in the parking lot, Joker sets off the big explosion setting him on fire again

Ahaha, I only seen TDK at Kicking and screening and I was paying to much attention to the Joker.

LMAO!!! You guys are SICK PUPPIES!!! LOL!! But then again I could see that, too. OMG, what does that make me??? LOL!!!

This thread is suggesting that someone died during a shoot and the filmmakers were completely unaware of it. If it is true then this guy must not of been that important because Stunt doubles and such will get recognition. S o this poor guys job must of been bottom of the barrel. Nolan was probably wondering where his coffee was but that was the extent of it .
