Sonic X in general is just not that good of a show except maybe for when it adapted the storylines of Adventure 1 and 2. And the Sonic fandom always tries to find a new combatant. Remember the Game Awards when they were so confident that Sonic Frontiers would beat Genshin Impact at winning that fan award? Then Genshin Impact won and Twitter got real quiet? If the best that Sonic fans can do is say that their movies beat out...Birds of Prey and Morbius, that's not a high ceiling, especially when no one expected Morbius to be good. Sonic 2's box office isn't even higher than Detective Pikachu's!
Sonic 3 will do well, but it has a ceiling. Meanwhile, as cynical as these live-action Disney remakes are, Mufasa is going to do gangbusters at the box office. Most of these live-action remakes unfortunately have, except for The Little Mermaid, but that's because of Awkwafina's singing, among other things. Us online might not see the need, but families are gonna turn up in droves for that.
Also, yeah, go after 4Kids all you want for Sonic X or One Piece, but they still had gems like the Pokemon dub or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Heck, consider that Mike Pollock started on Sonic X under 4Kids, and he's the only voice actor that Sega kept after Sonic and the Black Knight with the voice cast changed. They wouldn't have done that if he did a bad job. So, 4Kids has plenty of problems, but it had its fair share of good things and good voice actors.
