Sony Says Spider-Man 3 Has Not Been Pirated

Well duh. Who actually believes stupid rumours like that anyway? Not to mention the fact that both movies take place in totally different time periods anyway. They're not going to have a time machine in the movie that transports Jack Sparrow into the 21st century or something. Plus we would have heard about this a LONG time ago if it was true, and it would have been novelization if it was, which it isn't PLUS both films are being distributed by 2 different studios I doubt they would play nice and do something like this. I can 100% assure you there will be NO Spider-man/Pirates cross-over.
Hahahahaha WRONG PIRATE!

People can be such morans.

and the truth...Shall set you free!

The irony.

hahahah please tell me that was a joke. Can somebody find him and tell him to come back to this thread. Either he is a comedian or a moran. LMMFAO

^^I think you need to come back to this thread and edit your incorrect spelling of the word, moron.

No. I don't have a copy on my hands, nor I want to.

But I know people who have, P2Ps who are putting it online, saw pics, screencaps and everything else.

Me, I'd rather watch it projected digitally on a big screen, and then buy the HD DVD when it's out.

I'm patient when it comes to Spider-Man movies.

well, i'm supportive of people and their jobs.

i'm constantly blown away that people take things off the net and use them to their fancy with complete disregard of how it came to be or why.
consumption is the only thing people need it seems. careless consumption.

what a way to screw yourself with karma.

one day - your job that you love and depend on may be up and for reasons beyond your control. you won't like it much.

i have faith that corp.'s will seize control of the net/interweb and stop the idiots from ruining things.

in the meantime i don't have and p2p or limewire on my computer and it is going to stay that way. i've no intentions of screwing people over like that.

i was never forced to watch a movie or listen to music and that is why i pay. it is a product. it isn't mine. i didn't make it. i purchase it out of choice.

I have never seen sarcasm so subtle, nigh undetectable . . . please let it be sarcasm -- pretty please. If it isn't: LMMFAO :D

People can be such Morans? I think that's a tad racist against the Irish. :o

downloading stuff is the basis of the internet; there is plenty of stuff you cant buy thats only downloadable on the net. if i was an artist and people were dling my stuff for free ide just be glad people want to hear my stuff.

How would you make a living? Live on love?

double post. they should give u an option of deleting your own post

personally regarding piracy i always thought, if u cant beat them, join them, i think the studios should put out there own bootlegs b4 they do i mean i dont know how many times ive walked out of a theater and say i wanna see it again but then id have to pay again, personally, this is my view on it, if i go see a movie at least once in the theater, it shouldnt be ileagle to watch a bootleg cuz ive already payed, and i wasnt planning on paying again to see it in the theaters anyways so whats the diff? basically if u see the movie in the theaters already it shouldnt be ilegle. maybe im wrong but if i wasnt gonna pay anyways either way they werent gonna get my money, theyd make more money getting 5 dollars or whatever out of somebody then nothing.. they should just make it available both on the internet to download and at the movies..

I agree, and what really pisses me off (and I don't know if they show them in the states) but here in Canada, when I go to an Empire Theater to see a movie, they will sometimes have an interview with someone who painted sets on a movie saying how they are losing money due to piracy? Wait a second....shouldn't he be paid BEFORE the movie comes out, I mean, regardless of how the movie does at the theater, he still gets paid. Absolutely rediculous.

It doesn't need to be pirated. All you have to do is put all the trailers together and you've seen the whole friggin movie.

I agree completely. That's the dumb thinking of the major studios. If I didn't have any interest in seeing a certain movie in the theatres, I wouldn't have paid for it anyways. If it shows up on the net and I feel bored and take a look, chances are I like it and buy the DVD later on.
It's a new economic sector the studios barely touch just like the music industry acted before Napster. They're afraid of the change, just like the theatres. It's the whole tv and video outrage again. It's simply the evolution of economy. IMAX is the new big thing, the old age of cinema is over cause nearly anyone can pay for a decent surround system and HDtv nowadays. Some rental stores will outlive the change but the focus is clearly shifting to the internet and it's just unstoppable 'cause people are lazy and want everything as easy as possible.

If I have the choice to 1. sit in between a bunch of annoying kids, or people in general, in a badly ventilated room or 2. watch the movie in my own room with my lcd/plasma and surround system - it's pretty easy to decide what's more comfortable isn't it!?

Instead of punishing their own customers they should make the stuff available online and take another dime from them. It already works for tv stations who sell their shows over iTunes.

my point exactly.. i mean theres been a couple of times where i have downloaded a movie first and watched it for maybe 20 min, i liked it so i turned it off, and bought it and watched the rest of it on my big screen tv.. they shouldnt be afraid of change, the more they fight against it the more its gonna overtake them.. i pray for the day we see a movie come out alongside the dvd or internet version.. and they should lower the price maybe that would work also. it worked for music, i remember when cds used to be 18.99 some 19.99 i never bought them unless i absolutly had to have it, and i just downloaded them instead, now the cds are like 12.99 some are even 9.99 so i buy a couple here and there, way more then i did before..mind you this is canadian pricing.. but back to tha actual matter of spiderman 3 being pirated. honest to god havent we been watching bootlegs of it for a couple months, now? everytime a blurred tv spot or a crappy cam of the trailer came out u all flocked to see it.. but your all still going to see the movie come opening day. well most.. u know what i mean? it makes no diff if its online or not most people would like that choice as to say yeah it seems good i'll go buy it or i'll go see it. at the very least they should have like 5 min clips of everymovie online for you to judge if u want to see it, not some trailer aimed at showing you the best parts of the movie. show the movie for what it really is. uncut just 5 min from the actual movie is enough to tell me if i'd like it. you guys think they will ever get with the program instead of fighting against it?

So, has the movie been really pirated?

I don't know, dude -- I haven't bothered looking. Maybe, since you've seen the movie, you could back odin up and let us all know if Capt. Jack's in Spidey 3. :oldrazz:

i dont think it has been, i checked all the torrent sites and vcd quality and nothing, if it is then not many people have it, but i doubt it,

Well... there is that cameo incident:

Bruce Campbell plays a badass version of Jack Sparrow, while Stan "The Man" Lee joins in as Davy Jones' grandfather...

PS. Don't disclose this information. I might lose my job! ;)
