Sony wants Channing Tatum for the lead in 21 Jump Street

I think he should stop making movies period. Tatum is by far one of the worst so called “actors” in Hollywood.
I’m not sure how this guy even has a career.

is this remake ofthe tv show jumpe street 21? or is it a different moive?

It's a theatrical movie based on the tv show.

He doesnt look like he can be in high school
I've never seen the original so I dont care that much the only thing that had me interested was that Jonah Hill was involved

I'm sure it will be a ok movie but Tatum in the lead role?

Maybe/hopefully he will be a better comedic actor than a dramatic one.

Well, that's one film I can cross off my list.

Not that I had much interest in it before, but I sure as hell ain't seeing it now.

Ugh. This could've made for such a great story and I can just tell it's going to be one of the worst things ever.

Idk I havent seen anything from this other than one pic. But Tatum is just miscast and not just because I dont think he's a good lead.
He doesnt look like he can be an adult pretending to be high school mostly because he's too old to pretend to be high school.

Dave Franco (who I hear is in the movie) wouldve been better

Channing Tatum is like the male Megan Fox. He's a crap actor but he makes girls' gineys tickle, so they keep putting him in movies. :o

It's not even just the Channing thing (though that sucks too), it's the fact that Jonah Hill is writing it. IMO, Veronica Mars would be such a great template for a new 21 Jump Street to draw from, but this is just going to end up being full of **** jokes. :o

I heard that they want Johnny Depp to be in a cameo, since he was in the tv show.

**** that, this isn't Jump Street. :cmad:

Not even going to bother with this remake.

I didn't even chuckle watching the trailer. The only thing that could remotely save this movie is the presence of Nick Offerman.

again, why do idiot writers in Hollywood insist on taking shows that were NOT comedies to begin with and turn it into a comedy film?? case in point - Starsky & Hutch, Green Hornet, and now 21 Jump Street

then to top it all off they cast the 2 worst possible leads for this film. Jonah Hill is annoying and i only found him funny in Superbad. and don't get me started on Channing Tattum. calling him a horrible actor is an understatement.

That the movie was going for a comedic route is pretty much expected but I gotta admit though, I did chuckled a few times. :o

I'll watch it, trailer has it's moments for sure. I mean it's 21 Jump Street, other than Depp, was it such a big deal when on the air?

I wasn't interested until the trailer. Since I can't take Tatum seriously , he might be better suited for this.

Looks really bad. But I pretty much figured it would be since I first heard about it.

Trailer was pretty funny. Didn't Nick Cannon already do this?
