Me personally, the flag makes me uncomfortable. It just does. My cousin down in Indianapolis has a neighbor that flies that **** from his balcony, and while i'm sure he's a nice guy, it just seems like he's trying to make some kinda statement flying it.

^Well it's unlikely someone in Indianapolis is flying it to show his "Southern pride".

I like the confederate flag and think that to ban it would be against everything that is American. My reason is that it does something that very few images in our society can make you do: think.

Anything that can bring about discussion and debate without anyone getting hurt is probably a decent thing at least.

I live in Kentucky, just a little ways from a place known as Marshall county, where they have a little thing called Tater Day. I'm not sure of the significance, but a lot of people fly rebel flags and pretty much celebrate the civil-war era south. Of course by that I mean mostly one thing.
Anyway, i'm not big on the flag either, especially based on a woman that comes into my work all the time, whom has bumper stickers with the flag all over her car that all have very racist statements on them.
