Well to slow down population growth all we have to do is make sterilization mandatory at birth.
After about a generation youd have humans that couldnt go to Earth because theyd be too weak to walk on the surface of the Earth.
Slowing down population growth will accomplish next to nothing, what the world (and for the purposes of this discussion, the universe) is for humanity to go extinct.
You act like entropy has a will.
Sorry, I didn't make my statement clear enough, and i was kind of hoping for people to look at the link I posted earlier.
I believe that humanity must cause ITSELF to go extinct by VOLUNTARILY ceasing to breed.
For more information, check out vhemt.org, or PM me your e-mail address and I can send you the research paper I did on the subject last quarter.
i knew it. ive never heard of this site before, and its funny cuz last night i had a conversation with my friend. and i told him the only way we can save earth and return to normality is by a governmeant controlled populatation genocide.
id sacrafice myself at the casue of saving one of the only really habitable planets we know of.
I'll have to give that a read later, but I am not a fan of the anti-human movement.
Woah, woah, woah...nobody said anything about genocide on that site except to say that it is wrong. The idea is not to kill, it's all voluntary (hence the name VOLUNTARY Human Extinction MoveMent), and through not creating new humans. It has nothing to do with ending anyones life early.
no i know that now i read the movmeant facts, but thats what i said to my friend last night before knowing about it being a voluntary movemeant. hell i didnt think anyone would have really felt the same way. i would have thought a human extinction idea would be stupid, but it could actually be one of the smartest things weve ever done.
and humans are stubborn, not evryone will want to voluntary die out, they want to continue on their legacy by having kids, waching there kids have kids, and so on.
the only way this can properly work is mass genocide....
Theres one main problem with the moon, it only has one-sixth the gravity of Earth and therefore would only have one-sixth of the atmosphere.
Mars is the real candidate except for one other issue, the gravity is also too weak. One hundred pounds on Earth is only about thirty-eight on Mars. After about a generation youd have humans that couldnt go to Earth because theyd be too weak to walk on the surface of the Earth.
teraaforming.
for the survival of humans it only seems possible by terraforming other planets, and moons, earth will one day end, and when that happens so will animals plants humans everything, ware will we all be, non existant, i dont want that.
im all for the terraforming methods but are you? im sure you are if u wana live.
the most likly candidates for the terrafoming process are mars, venus and our own moon.
for mars since its the #1 choice, what theyd need to do is heat up the ploar ice caps and let the water melt, with that water melted oxygen will be realesed, will need to plant some things around rich soil near the water and in time it will have both oxygen and carbon.
with that being done a thicker atmosphere will start to develop, than weather itself will form, rain will bring about new oceans, lakes rivers and with plant life there will be sources of food, all we need to do than is transport humans and animals to mars.
hopefully after the maned missons to mars and after more data is collected and more reaserch is done, i think the plan for the terraformation will be drawn up.
its 100% possible to achive, and i hope it happens sooner rather than later, yea itl take maybe 100 somwhat years to complete but it will sooo be worth it in the end.

terraforming planets? why, so we can go over there and screw that planet up also?
we can't even take care of our own planet, what more create a habitable planet?
Ya I just saw this idea on a show called Mars Underground on the science channel... was running all week because it was space week
thats what mars undergraound was gonna be about, dammit i missed is by 2 hours, ill try to catch that another time.
was it good?
the goal of humanity is to better man kind not spread life. if we cant better ourselves then whats the point of spreading out?
