Space Jam: A New Legacy

A lot of people who grew up in the 90's remembers this Space Jam fondly. But watching it as an adult ( 26) I will admit it's not the greatest movie ever but still better than trash like The Smurfs. Even though the sequel has been debunked. I wouldn't mind it if they made a good sequel to the Space Jam, maybe do a football version with NFL players or something.

Either way, American Football isn't as popular worldwide, you would probably make more money worldwide with Soccet imao

I think Space Jam ATTMEMPTED to capture the spirit and humor of the original Looney Tunes cartoons, verses The Smurfs or Alvin where both went for broad comedy that betrays the more innocent, timeless tone of each 'toon.

we'll see. I hope that if it is done, it is done in a cool way, and keeping in mind family friendly characterization and plot.

That's why I sort of choose not to re-watch some of the 90's nostalgia stuff I liked as a kid, Space Jam would be one of them.

The fact is there's not a real reason why something I enjoyed as a 9 or 10 year old made for kids, I'd find entertaining when I'm well into my 20's? So I rather keep the nostalgic memories where they lay.

Sucks for you, i can watch fondly my nostalgia films like The Incredibles and most of the other PIXAR films i grew up with and enjoy it as much, or even start to apreciate them more for other things

Pixar is different. I'm talking about things specifically like Space Jam, that don't have great re-play value especially as an adult.

I've only seen bits and pieces of "Back in Action" on TV. From what I saw, it didn't seem to be a sequel to "Space Jam" at all. It was just an altogether different movie starring the Looney Tunes.

The sequel should feature the Animaniacs and Freakazoid on the team. Otherwise no deal.

That movie was sacred to you?

"Pinky, you're positioned correctly within the parameters of this court to make the final winning basket, thus providing us with a sanctioned victory. Are you pondering what I'm pondering?"

"I think so Brain.....but didn't they just outlaw that in Utah?"

"Pinky, your mind is one of the seven ancient wonders of the world. That were never found."

While I'm not a fan of LeBron James. The first movie is far from sacred, plus he was pretty good in Trainwreck and he'll be doing pretty much the same thing here, playing a version of himself, might as well go with it.

30 minutes into the film, he'll stage a big flashy "Announcement" that he's signed with Disney instead, and then the movie is just reruns of Merry Melodies for the next hour.

Where does it say that it's happening in the linked article?

Also, isn't there some old thread for the possible Space Jam 2?
