Spider-Man 2.1 additional scenes revealed

Oh man, oh man, I just saw the trailer for Spider-Man 2.1 and that extended train sequence and the extended Aunt May hostage sequence looks awesome. As much as it pains me to say it, I'll be getting it.

I'm all for an extended version pof Spiderman 2. Specially if it includes more of the train battle.

I know I'm being too ignorant but what's the 'infamous' room fight?

-Extended elevator scene.

What? You mean the Spiderman and the guy with the dog scene? God, that scene can't be any longer. There's a moment where the scene is funny, then it goes too long, losing the humourous touch and then it's simply ruined with too much of the same crap. Same with the broom of the cleaning room.

It's a new sequence that's attached to the building wall fight they have. Spidey and Ock crash thru a window into an office or something. There's a woman in there.

From what we've seen, they crash thru the window, and smash down onto a table. Spidey is on top of Ock, and Ock grabs Spidey's head and body in his tentacles and starts slamming him into the walls and ceiling. The lady is cowering in the corner of the room.

Then we saw footage of Ock throwing Spidey out the window, and as he's going out, Spideys snags Ock with his webbing, and pulls Ock out the window with him.

Looks absolutely awesome.

I'd loved to see the movie with those extended scenes, I wonder which are the reasons why this great things didn't make it to the final cut.

I know, the obvious answer, to release a second DVD and make us all buy it again... but still...

That's sick

I love how they've fitted the new footage into the existing stuff. Best bit is Ock holding Spidey down at the side of the train, while Spidey's head gets smacked by the train tracks.

Watch it again. You can see Spidey leap up from the front of the train when the train is in the distance.

Yes, you can see him.
The bit when they pass the train station, there's a continuity error, cause on that side, is the track from the oposite train rails. Glad they took it off.

The other bit is just fantastic!!!!!!!!

Ok I see it now, thanks for the heads up on that. I retract my previous comment about the poor editing. I'm guessing that as spidey was thrown in front of the train, he merely stuck to it, not suffering from any serious injury, climbed up and jumped up, to gain altitude and continued his pursuit. Once again, brilliant footage, can't wait to see the rest of 2.1.

Hopefully there will be commentary and they will give an actual explanation on how Spidey can be slammed by an on-coming train going in the opposite direction and still be totally fine.

I kind of have a problem with the music. They butchered the music score for this part. When Spidey recovers and swings after being hit by the train they re use the cue from when Doc Ock Knocks Spidey off the train onto the street below and he swings back onto the train. They reuse part of that whole cue twice and it sounds odd and badly cut together. The part when Doc Ock holds Spidey down and he hits the tracks is the same part as when Ock throws thoes People off the train and Spidey saves them. It's full of bad music edits.

This was what I was afraid of about this extended cut.

Doc Ock clearly isn't good at following instructions.

He tries to kill Pete by throwing a car at him before getting any information and then, his job was to bring spidey to Harry, alive in order to get the tritium BUT he throws spidey in front of a speeding train.....they so have to get him back to LEAD the S6 in sm6.

Actually, he didn't throw Spidey in front of the train. Again, if you watch the clip properly, you see that when he spots the train coming, he lets Spidey go.
