PS3 owners get a collectors edition of the game.

A playable character not featured in the other versions. Not sure if all three versions get their own exclusive character or not, but the Goblin uses sixaxis, which obviously won't work with 360.

Well... this game just got a whole lot better.

It makes too much sense that something like this would happen eventually. It's ******ed that the game for Sony Pictures biggest property (owned by Marvel) appears on every console known to man. They can't exactly negotiate with Marvel to make it Sony exclusive I would think (Well they probably could) but a PS3 exclusive special edition seems easy and logical.

Goblin Glider with the SixAxis? Cool. Flight based stuff is perfect for it. Hopefully they allow you alternate costumes this time around...

Now I just need to hear about the Lizard being in it and I can die happy, after I play it. :D

Thanks for posting the news!

Sounds sweet, I really enjoyed the Spiderman 2 game and hope this is as good or better.

"Scheduled for a simultaneous release with the regular version of Spider-Man 3 in early May, Spider-Man 3 Collector's Edition will add a number of bonus features not available on other platforms. Webisodes from the Spidey 3 movie, an exclusive interview with producer Avi Arad, and behind the scenes talks with Tobey Maguire, Topher Grace, Thomas Haden Church, James Franco, JK Simmons, and Bruce Campbell are also included. Players will even be able to access special Spider-Man 3 trailers and a couple of other undisclosed goodies."

:), hope he does narration again.

"But that's not the best part.

No true believers, the best and most interesting addition to the PS3 Collector's Edition is the ability to play as a completely different character, the "New Goblin." Using a unique locomotion system that's entirely controllable with the Sixaxis gamepad, the New Goblin will be able to zip through the city streets and between skyscrapers and other buildings at super-high speeds."

High speed Goblin flight while using pumpkin bombs on gangs sounds fun too :).

just how much will this version cost? If it follows in tradition of other special editions I expect it to be 10 bucks more at $69.99. That seems high.

nice... i loved playing as the gobling in the first movie game, and this'll obviously be 10x better.

This is a nice exclusive for PS3. The Wii version has it's own exclusives. Sounds like each version will have something different to offer.

I wonder what the 360 will get

i really hope we can get a playable venom, or sandman.

like 2 different modes, hero mode (play as spidey) and villan mode (play as all villans)

that would be sweet.

If they had a feature that big, they would have mentioned it.

Play USM if you want to play as venom.

I'm not getting the PS3 version just for a new character.

If the PS3 and 360 versions are identical technically then you might as well get the PS3 version. :p

Well if you want the inferior version by all means.

If both versions are the same but the PS3 version has the Goblin as a playable character using the SixAxis controller, then the PS3 version is indeed the superior version of the game.

Or do you have a different definition of superior that no one knows about?

Yeah... why is the 360 version superior exactly? Same specs but more content in the PS3 version...

You know why the 360 version is superior? Because you're asking in the SHH! Videogame forum, that's why.
