I dont want to troll but I walked out of S3. I suffered through X3. So my vote goes to X3. S3 had those pretty action sequences but you had to wait through a deluge of "I love you's, and we love yous" to get to the action parts. X3 you didnt have to wait as long. I dunno I guess Im an emotionally void person, but those hackneyed mushy parts in S3 were sheer torture. As a failed screenwriter myself, I kept wondering was Raimi in love when he was putting this film together?

The only bad thing about X3 was Xavier and Cyclops dying. Outside of that it's a solid superhero movie.

The action is on par with X2 and the plot is superior to X1 and X2.

It's just trendy to hate Ratner. If the same movie was directed by Singer the same people bashing it as the worst comic book movie would be saying it's not that bad.

I completely agree.

X3 was better, at least it takes himself seriously instead of Spiderday Night Fever.

Spidey 3 was great IMO while X3 was s**t

I will take Spider-Man 3 over X-Men 3 any day of the week. They both had waaaaay to many characters to develop in the running time, but at least they were nice enough to make SM3 twenty minutes longer to try to make it work, as apposed to X3, which was thirty minutes shorter.

spider-man 3... x-men3 pissed me off more

I thought SM3 started strong and finished strong, but the middle was really murky.

X3 was messy for all 100 minutes; it never found its feet.

Sorry, but this is bull****, if Singer had made the same movie (which he wouldnt have, his would have had some character development and been AT LEAST 30 mins longer) i would have slated the movie as much as i do now.

Sorry, not trying to start an argument or anything, i just thought this statement was completely inaccurate.

Anyway about the thread question, i was slightly dissapointed in Spiderman 3, but it was still leaps and bounds ahead of X3 in terms of quality.

Spider-Man 3 was fun to watch
X-Men 3 was complete garbage and a big letdown to me.

With both films, I keep trying to imagine the movie I wish they had made. With X3, that process happened while I watched it.

To put it simply, with X3, I wanted more. It fell short on so many story points and action scenes. I wanted it to be longer to pay that off.

With Spidey3, I wanted different. There was a lot in there that I liked, and a lot that I would like to replace with darker and cooler stuff, mainly everything about the black costume . It could be the same runnign time and be better all around. Seriously, :venom:how'd they eff that up?

Seems like Part 2 of these comic movies seems to be the magic number.

With comicbook adaptions, sequels are equals. Superman II, Batman Returns, Blade II, X2 and Spider-Man 2 are all atleast as good or better than the originals. I think FF2 will be an addition to that list.

I liked both films with S-M3 being my favorite. I honestly don't see why Singer gets so much love for his X films. They looked like better than average Sci-Fi channel movies and should have been called "Wolverine and Those Other Guys". At least X3 had them fight as a team.

Spider-man 3 wasn't as good as the first 2, and I was kinda disappointed with Venom, but overall it was pretty good.

X3 wasn't all that bad, but I hated that it was really rushed.. and also what they did to Cyke :cmad:

So I say SM3

Which is the better film? Hard to say. They're both pretty poorly crafted. But I certainly enjoyed X3 a lot more than I enjoyed SPIDEY 3.

Spider-man 3 had flaws, X3 was one big flaw:o

They were both poor and major dissapointments compared to their predecessors!! I prefer the Spider-man character but i was expecting such a great movie i couldnt believe what i was seeing, i wasnt expecting as much from x3 so wasnt as disapointed.

having watched x3 recently i noticed that effects are as good if not better than S3 and the music blows spidermans away!!! but killing cyclops and xavier and making juggernaut a ******ed english prat (im english) hu was defeated by a ten yr old girl was just the stuff of cinema nightmares!!!

i would sum it up by saying they were both big disapointments, spiderman was a better film but a bigger disapointment.. so work out which i like better for urself coz i bloody cant!!

My family and i had a complete blast watching SM3, so that gets my vote.
