^^ That would be awesome, yeah.
I kind of did that in SM3, and USMI want play as Peter Parker this time. It would be great if you could walk in city as Peter and you could change to Spidey costume any time when no one is watching.
I doubt that will happen. I'd much rather have the team focus on making the city & combat great.
IMO, the perfect free roam Spidey game would have WOS's combat, Spidey's 2 web swinging & GTA's city. I'd also have random encounters from other Marvel street level heroes (DD, Punisher, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, etc...) but that won't happen in this game.
Spiderman WOS combat wasn't perfect, not even close. Web strikes were the coolest thing at first, but it got too repetitive. And the regular combat was repetitive too. Well, of course there's no way to make a totally non-repetitive combat system, but it's possible to make one that feels non-repetitive...
Batman Arkham Asylum truly reinvented combat, it felt non-repetitive, it was hard to master but it was still easy to get into. All you had to know was square=strike, triangle=counter strike, circle to distract, and double tap X= evade. So the trick was that instead of having different combo for every single move, we had those few buttons, and Batman chose the style to strike/counter depending on the situation.
It also felt like we truly had contact with real bad guys instead of the punching sacks we get in Spiderman games. Well, no combat system is ever perfect, Arkham Asylum combat had the smallest amount of flaws (which are being corrected in the sequel)
I love Arkham, buuuut the combat was repetitive. Square, x, x, square, x, square, x watch slo mo strike. You could hold the controller in one hand while fighting, and still win. The combat is to simplistic.
Bah. Sm1 is average, SM2 & SM3 are best in translating Spidey from comics to vg, even though they're based on movies, WoS is nothing more than trash with a lot of flashBah, spider-man games for the most part are rushed pieces of garbage. The psone games are the only spidey games I got boners over for. The movie games were complete rubbish, WoS was so-so, USM was one massive chase game and SD was an interesting experince but hardly enjoyable.

Mixing combinations to make several moves from all games could make magnificent combat experienceIn spiderman games the combat, especially in shattered dimensions, never felt like it was Spiderman combat, it felt like just combat.
Look Spideys moves from comics, cartoons and movies, that's not just regular combat, his jumping on enemies from wall running, he's jumping all around all acrobaticly and throws enemies and does all kind of tricks with his webs like when you could get enemies hanging from street lights and more that kind of stuff.
1 button making 7 hits combo, counter strike button making 3 different moves, and stun attack button with 1 attack only makes non-repetitive combat? That combined with the non-repetitive combat system from Arkham Asylum would be perfect! At least that's what I think, what's your opinion on this?
Yeah, rightNo it wasn't.
In SM3 Game the city is huge and most of the time streets looks very crowded. Some times streets are full of cars. The city needs more detail this time around! But they can't make it detailed and huge at the same time... that's something many people just wont realize. The best solution would be to make New York a little smaller, to take some unnecessary parts out and stuff.
I mean, which of these would you rather have: a little smaller alive looking detailed city, or a huge giant city where building look like lame blocks and the streets look abandoned
Trust me, when we would get a smaller yet detailed city, you propably wouldn't mind it being a little smaller than in the previous games at all

Playing through it the 30th time, still don't get this complaintMaybe but in SM3 the city looks very bland and boring.
Anyway, you kinda missed my main point
He was planned to be in a future movie as a villain, but by SM3 Treyarch said "Screw it", and I'm actually glad, cause his levels are really goodI wouldn't mind playing as the Lizard in the movie game that'd be pretty sweet.
Speaking of the Lizard anyone know why he was cut out of SM2's game? Not that I'm complaining that design didn't look that good.
