oh my bad, i thought it was just a "next spidey game" thread.
What would be the point? hahaha I don't get what kind of experience you'd get out of that game. There'd be no sense of accomplishment. There are plenty of other aspects of the game during which you can accomplish making the player feel like he is Spider-Man. The way he moves, fights, swings, climbs. Dodging every single attack in the game is not one of them. There would be no point. There'd be no sense of danger, and it'd just be...stupid.
i just brought it up becsue i felt it has been lacking since sm2. in arkham asylum, All the things bats could do, you could do! next spidey game should be able to do that as well
But it is a very important power of Spider-Man's. It's one of a few powers that Spider-Man has that is rather unique. I want to feel like Spider-Man, like I have all of his powers in my control. I want to be able to dodge every attack, because that's what Spider-Man does. Besides, the Spider-Sense is not infallible. Everyone knows Venom and Carnage can bypass it, but Green Goblin and Hobgoblin have gases that can neutralize it completely, the Spot can use his portals to send punches Spider-Man's way before he can dodge them, fast characters can attack him too quickly for him to react, et cetera. Otherwise, there wouldn't be any tension in the comics, movies et cetera.
lol Web slinging and wall crawling isn't unique. Yep.
And right, villains can surpass it, but how are developers supposed to spread the game out? Have you fight the villain 25 times? No thanks. SM2s spider sense was perfect. If you can react fast enough, great, you can dodge it. But no thanks to auto dodge. So stupid.
@godzilla ya know... i think were on the same page. lol
even if the next video game is a stand alone, i think it should still be titled the amazing spider-man, thats just awesome.
It'd make the challenge pretty numb and way too easy.Spider-Man can dodge (almost) every single attack in the comics, the movies, et cetera. I want to feel like Spider-Man, and live that experience when I am playing the game. That's the whole point of a Spider-Man game.
It'd make the challenge pretty numb and way too easy.
The game doing it for you won't make you feel like the hero. You will. You'll act like him if you want to be him.
Dodging is an ability the same way his wall crawling also is, his web-swing and all the other things that make him Spider-Man.
I don't let Batman automatically dodge the enemies attack or grab them upside down automatically to feel like him. If I want to feel like him, then I'll do as he does.
If you want to dodge every attack, then you do it, instead of letting the game do it for you. Spider-Man doesn't let his body automatically dodge bullets and attacks in the comics, it takes effort, like any other thing he does. Same for the game. You want to feel like him, then it will require some effort of your part too.
Cause you agreed with spideyguy16 (placing yourself in the same boat), who complains about having to press the dodge button whenever it is necessary:Why does everyone think I want auto-dodge? I just want to be able to dodge nearly every attack.
I just think its vital for spidey to be able to dodge every attack. Imagine fighting doc ock with flialing arms going everywhere having to press the counter button a million times
Or fighting carnage.
Fast battles would be sooo epic. Not battles with outrageous moves and humongous web spikes.
Cause you agreed with spideyguy16, who complains about having to press the dodge button whenever it is necessary: That makes it auto dodging:
That makes it auto dodging.
We can dodge pretty much everything in SM2. We just need to use our reflexes and the dodge button. There's also the Spider-Reflexes to make things even more fun and a little easier.

The answer to that is auto dodging.

i was saying those things as if "imagine this, it would be awesome!" not "ugh why press a button when it can be automatic!" im against auto dodging as well
lolLOL!i was saying those things as if "imagine this, it would be awesome!" not "ugh why press a button when it can be automatic!" im against auto dodging as well

i was hoping for sm2 spider sense when i was talking about that.
When you're not clearer enough on your posts, we're only supposed to make assumptions on what you're trying to say, since we're on a forum.LOL!i was saying those things as if "imagine this, it would be awesome!" not "ugh why press a button when it can be automatic!" im against auto dodging as well
