Regarding the ending:
Did Miles lose his powers in Earth 42 or did I completely misinterpret that?
He still has them.

Wow, the potential OW number forecasts just keep going up. Was only recently I was seeing $80m expected.
Masterpiece. Oscar for best animated movie is locked.

I wonder what the total domestic could be then if it gets a $120m OW. Hadn’t even considered numbers like this.Early tracking today pointing at 39, which is right in line with Guardians 3 again (38.8 first Saturday). That would put it at 90 headed into tomorrow. Vol. 3 did 31 its first Sunday. So looking good for 120.
Given how big this movie is....shouldnt it have its own dedicated forum instead of just a casual post?
300+ seems reasonable to me, maybe 350 depending on competition. A few over on BOT think it could hit 400. I doubt it but who knows, it’s just day 2!I wonder what the total domestic could be then if it gets a $120m OW. Hadn’t even considered numbers like this.
All very good numbers. Hopefully we see signs of great legs asap.300+ seems reasonable to me, maybe 350 depending on competition. A few over on BOT think it could hit 400. I doubt it but who knows, it’s just day 2!
I’m not surprised your daughter loved it. Does your wife usually go along for these cinema trips? Great to see a whole family loving it. My showing was at 9am on a weekday so there were a lot of families and they seemed to be having a blast.Me, my wife, and daughter just got back from seeing it. Damn good movie and damn good fun. My daughter absolutely loves it.
No. She can't take the crowds. My daughter and I usually go, just us, on the Thursday opening nights. And that is too crowded for my wife. But the last few Marvel films ny wife has bought us opening weekend tickets at a MOVIE TAVERN. If you don't have these theaters in England, the MOVIE TAVERNS have reclining seats with extra room between viewers. You also get a variety of extra food you order and get brought to you. Besides popcorn and drinks, you can get pizza, sandwiches, taco salads, etc. It costs a bit more than a regular ticket, but it's worth it to get my wife in on the afternoon activity.I’m not surprised your daughter loved it. Yeah I’ve seen some places like that here in London but not been to one myself. Don’t think we call them taverns though. Seems like a fun experience. Also it’s great that by doing this she can join you and get in on the fun as a family. I wasn’t sure if she was interested in this stuff so great to hear.No. She can't take the crowds. Oh yeah, she's a big science fiction/comic book fan.....just hates crowds. Most of the time when you see one of the MCU movies reappear again and again on my monthly movie list, it's because she's pulled it out to re-watch.Yeah I’ve seen some places like that here in London but not been to one myself. I’m against this. Quality over quantity. Marvel tried to do too much with all these series along with movies and the quality has noticeably suffered.Sony will be really stupid to not pair with Marvel/Disney+ or someone to do some spin-off series of some of these characters. At least a Spidey-Verse show wherein each episode focuses on a different Spidey and fleshing them out individually.
A guy in my crowd said rather loudly, when TO BE CONTINUED showed on the screen - "You mean we have to wait another 5 years for the end?" So yeah, some people are upset.I'm hearing a lot of reports of crowds not being too happy about the "to be continued" ending. My own younger brother saw the movie last night and he said his crowd was not happy.
Then again, I dont think theres reason to be concerned because i remember we said the same thing about Infinity War and that ended up grossing 2 billion dollars lol. But I do wonder if the marketing should have made it clearer that this is "Part 1." We geeks who follow movie news knew that but not sure about casual folks.
