Pencil and Cover by "Maladjusted" MIKE McKONE
It's Web-Slinger vs. Wall-Crawler as artist extraordinaire Mike McKone (FF, The Exiles) joins writer Bob Gale to answer the
question – who is "The Other Spider-Man?" It ain't comin' down to another clone saga is it? If so, send all complaints to 1994!

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #563
Written by "Burpy" BOB GALE
Pencil and Cover by "McLovin'" MIKE McKONE
Remember that joke that starts, "So Spider-Man walks into a bar, and…?" Well, when it's the villain-filled Bar With No Name, it's no joke – it's a barroom brawl as only Mike McKone can draw it! And that's only the beginning of one of the most maddening nights in Spidey's life! Throw in The Enforcers, The Bookie, and a climax at Coney Island, and you've got a recipe for the nuttiest Spider-Man story this year. Gale didn't tell us what he was drinking when he wrote it, but it must have been pretty good stuff!

Now all Spidey needs to do is convince a city full of assorted thieves and felons (and…DANG…Dr. Octopus!) to KEEP IT DOWN for the day, cuz, you know, this is the guy that turns into the Hulk. PLUS: the story no one thought they would see, the debut of all-new backup feature "Mr. & Mrs. Spider-Man"! In this first installment, using their individual talents, Peter and Mary Jane Parker join forces to prevent the Lizard from destroying his own family.

I think they all sound great, and I can't wait to see Spidey and MJ together again in Spider-Man family :D

The Spider-Girl solicit confuses me... And it seems to me like Slott and Gale are writing the majority of these BND stories. Not a complaint, (I'm not reading it) just an observation. I'm sure Slott has a lot of great ideas for Spidey, the John Romita preview art I saw in another thread looked great.

By ASM #560, it should be Slott's arc to write after Wells gets the next one after Gale... Guggenheim is next up, but since he's writing the Annual, maybe they're tweaking the schedule a bit...

Maybe Gales's doing a couple of one-shot issues, since the solits have two different type of tales... :word:

The one writer per month structure isn't set in stone. I think Wacker said they were only planning on sticking to it for the first four months, and after that the schedule would depend on the length of the stories (e.g. Gale doing one-shots, Slott doing a six-part story).

That solicit for ASM 562 makes me curious...

Didn't Steve Wacker say they had no plans for Ben Reilly (or any other clones for that matter) before ASM 600?

Then again they have confirmed themselves that they've been lying about alot of stuff.

Its not Ben Reilly, he's dead an never coming back. It probably has something to do with that crook who stole pete's web-shooter during Slott's BND arc.

Who is also dead and never coming back. :oldrazz:

Lol. I meant the other crook, who killed the crook that stole Spidey's webshooter, if that makes sense. That guy has pete's webshooter and his wallet with all his info. Hmmm...

Re:#563 a climax at Coney Island- I wanna see a faithful recreation of the The Cyclone.

But things start going south as soon as Spidey starts going Norse! Prepare for an epic tale that the bards will sing of for centuries to come (most likely with an occasional unnecessary "thee" or "thou" thrown in for good measure)!

To be honest, Im only really looking foreward to Marvel 1985, Ultimate Spider-Man and MA Spider-Man. Spidey Thor looks awesome lol :hyper:

Oh wow!!! That Thunderbolt's cover! I've been waiting for Goblin to show up, I hope he's sticks around. If Norman Osborn is alive then the Goblin should be too. Maybe they'll send the Thunderbolts after spidey sometime soon!

Those look great! MA Spider-Man and Marvel 1985 look very cool. Also, it's very cool to see Green Goblin on the cover of ThunderBolts. I mean, didn't they say that the Thunderbolts would go after Spidey in ASM?

So Norman finally dons the Goblin suit again, I'll be picking up Thunderbolts in June no doubt.

Yeah, in the upcoming 6 part arc in ASM in August, titled "New ways to die". Dan Slott's writing it and JRJr. is finally returning to ASM. Slott's arc is probably my favorite of the bunch so far, so this should be exciting.

Only thing that interests me at all there is Spider-girl and Spider-man Family.

Damn It still puzzles me how people can miss out on Spider-girl. That title is amazing and so much better then anything going on in the 616 Spider-verse right now.

Heh I need my Peter/MJ fix so Spider-man family looks like it will be pretty good.

Although I'm not currently reading it, I might start picking up Thunderbolts even if it's only starting June for the Goblin. I'm really excited to see Norman go back to being the Goblin.

That Thunderbolts cover is amazing. The Goblin looks like one badass muther****er.

Awesome! Kind of annoying though, I was just about to drop ASM casue I'm just not feeling BND. Guess I'll be picking back up in August though.

Yeah, they said the T-Bolts will go after Spidey in the near future. ( I hope he mops the floor with the lot of them :word: )...

And yes; that cover kicks ass.
