Comics Spider-Man in May 2008

As for being peanuts. Simple. They are just going to drone along and nothing will really ever change again (except maybe when Quesada leaves) and until then Peter is Charlie Brown going through the same **** and staying perpetually the same with no growth.

Since you know so much of what's going to happen, can you tell me some lottery numbers?

Thanks...

:yay:

33 28 11 7 15 9

Those will serve you just as well as any other prediction you'll hear. Here's another one that was circulating a few months ago:

Clinton vs. Giuliani...It's a lock!

How stupid would I feel if those numbers actually hit...

Thanx Kraven.

The cover to ASM#560 is... um, interesting...

Does anyone know if the first Osborn led Thunderbolts arc has been collected yet?

I believe it has, ASM 560 will probably be better than people think, slott works well with "odd" characters. (though you shouldn't buy it).

Hey, Shocker finally gets one in one Pete, he's been very much due.

Looking the most forward to Norman schooling gargan violently. I feel sorry for venom, though I'm curious who's pushing his strings against norman (otto would be awesome) still as powerful as venom is he's completely out of his league going against norman in a cat and mouse game.

I'm not sure if having a limited series for each character rather than a tie in is brilliant or something about to backfire in Marvel's face when they ask a little too much from customer's wallets. Personally any bendis event is enough to keep me away better than a fat chick with a bobbit complex, I mean does anyone like the NA spider-man that get's his ass kicked constantly and has to compete with hawkeye ninja for title of biggest clown? Brian I love your ideas but when you touch characters you didn't create nothing good comes of it.

I read the first issue of BND. I've seen the previews, read the synopsis of new issues, etc. They are the same as the comics before BND sans any event or MJ....aka mediocre. I have seen excerpts in threads of Spider-Girl trying to convince us to come over to Spider-Girl and those snippets were better than ASM has been in years.

Unless you actually read BND or Spider-Girl, whatever you have to say about them is completely without merit. You're giving a book report without ever having cracked the book open.

Heh, I asked about the first Thunderbolts trade because, well, I have not really been reading Thunderbolts.
So your thoughts on all things TB's are lost on me.

I was holding off till the first trade came out so I could read it all in one go.
I assume it's out now so I'll look to pick it up this week.

Webs!

It is out: http://www.marvel.com/catalog/?id=8080

The first comment is about the TB. The second is about the fact that rather than go with tie in books in the future there's going to be mini's for each event so ASM will not have a SI tie-in there'll be a Spider-Man SI mini to deal with pete's experiences in SI. It might be asking for too much money in a month for people to deal with, but we'll see.

Oh I see, I thought you were referring to TB tie in books.

Spidey minis, well I hope Marvel get too greedy and readers drop titles.
Thing is tho, Marvel Superheros/comics are way popular these days.
I don't see the Spidey books developing any problems .. people will just buy the stuff.
