A lot of movies are doing this now days. Do you think Sony will put up a Spider-Man 3 myspace??? It is a free and extremely efficient source at spreading the word about your movies. I have the SM3 trailer on my myspace account. Discuss...:spidey:

Maybe they will, but they already have their own spidey website, so they probably dont need myspace.

Nah they don't need one :down :down

Why not access a free source of advertising??? Sony will make one. They want to grab every dollar they can and if you can get 100,000+ friends on myspace...that would help spread the word ever more efficiently which equals for money.

Put a Spider-Man 3 Myspace? Good idea! It would be in my Top 8.

Too Early, but you can count on one coming soon... Millions of people go on myspace... It's practically a given Spider-man 3 will have a movie myspace... :spidey::up:

When did Superman Returns put theirs up,how soon before the movie

I can't believe Myspace is THIS BIG, not as a bad thing, but i've used it for a couple of years now and im surprised it's used by ALOT of people, even movies make a myspace account it's just so cool. And toward this thread i don't see why they shouldn't Superman Returns, X-men 3 made one so its most likely they will. Maybe about a month before release?

That would be funny if it was Peter's Myspace!

Considering he's rather emo nowadays.

Chock full of poetry blogs and Hawthorne Heights videos. XD

Tobey's stand in,Chad Cleven,has a myspace

Daniel Cudmore (Colossus ) has a myspace, hes one of my friends,
I can now say that one of my friends is colossus,
beat that

i think the movie myspaces are pointless... it usualy just has a trailer and a wee message board.. why go there when you have here and the official site

why would they need a myspace web site to "spread the word" on one of the most successful if not "the" most successfull film franchise of all time?

dave has a good point.

Thats like trying to spread the word that George busch is the president. Whats the point.

I have never even once been on a myspace page.

To tell the truth I have no idea what myspace is

First off it is Bush...not Busch...Busch is a beer. A lot of movies are making myspace accounts because it is a free source of effective advertising. If you can reach 1000 people through advertising with no costs at all to the user...then it is worth it. Hell, it is worth it to reach 1 person. I can personally guarantee you that not everyone in America knows Spider-Man or that SM3 is coming out. Presidential affairs are weighted a little heavier than movies. Plus have you seen Jay Walking...those idiots don't even know who the VP is. Myspace also might allow some background for villians and a symbiote so that their questions might be answered about WTF is on Spider-Man???

You are like one of those silly teenie boopers that has a mySpace page with all your personal infromation on it. Or do you work for them?

Any way I really think you'd be had pressed to find somone in this country, if not in the world that doesn't know about the first 2 movies and that Spider-Man 3 is comming.

Yeah I can see pirates using my space, becuase the first one really didn't do as great on it's opening weekend. So there is a fear that it might fail. But let's put it another way. It wold be like the beatles (if myspace was around in the 60's) Creating a myspace page becaue there may be 2 people out there who don't know who they are.

Or even better There are more people that have seen the spider-man movies than there are people that use MySpace.

Pirates didn't do well opening weekend but its box office numbers didn't drop the second weekend that much. First Pirates did great and the second one broke a lot of box office records. SM3 will be hard pressed to beat out Pirates 2 and even Pirates 3. It is completely assanine to sit there and say Spider-Man doesn't need a myspace. Pirates ins't the only movie that has used myspace. Nearly every big blockbuster this summer has a myspace page.

That made me laugh how you said that Disney thought Pirates 2 might fail because Pirates 1 didn't do great opening weekend...so they needed a myspace page to reach the countless innocents that didn't know about Pirates 2 coming out.

It doesn't matter that there are more people that have seen the Spider-Man movies than those who use myspace...which I don't know if that is entirely true. The point is to try and continuously hype up their movie for those people that don't check for updates at superhero sites like we do. The casual/non-fan.

And yes...I am a 21 year old teenie bopper that happens to have a myspace account...who would of thought???

I have a MySpace with a Spidey 3 background. :-D From the original released picture, of course.
