It was a very natural, understated scene that introduced him in a good way without distracting from the film itself. I look forward to seeing more of him.
So, the Mysterio issue was resolved entirely by Strange's spell at the end, right? Since everyone forgets that Peter is Spider-Man, does that also mean everyone forgets about what happened London? Does everyone still think he killed Mysterio?
I remember I saw Far From Home and left feeling pretty cold and disinterested in what the future would bring for MCU Spidey despite the fun JK Simmons appearance, I probably said it a bunch around the time that I just thought the character was going too far off center at that point. I know supposedly the movie was supposed to move him away from the Stark connections but to me FFH only doubled down on those.I think down the line the #1 thing NWH will be remembered for is it finally made Tom Holland Spider-Man. I think his movies are going to unite all the fandoms and make people excited for his future trilogy. SHH had become a ghost town about Spider-Man because most of the diehards did not like the direction the character had taken in the MCU.
No more:
- IronBoy Jr.
- Avenger Sidekick
- Technology/Privilege gets him out of everything
I wish this would mean the real Spider-Man 4.Well, it looks like Peter's new journey will continue with Marvel involved.
Spiderman 4 is in development.

It was more than likely scheduling problems + the pandemic. Ifans would've filmed just a scene anyways, and Church would've need to be on set for quite some time. Hence, the schedule problems. Voice acting can be done without even traveling.
Okay, so in the final battle with Strange casting the spell I could see Kraven and comic accurate Rhino. Anyone else got a glimpse of other villains?
Peter's apartment reminded me a lot of the one we saw in Raimi's films.
And I guess this movie finally confirms it. There is no uncle Ben in the MCU. And if there was, he was not that relevant to Peter's life. Maybe he even died before Peter started living with May.
Killing Aunt May is not something I'm loving. But I see the twist they wanted to go with.
Both Tony and May took the role of Ben. Tony taught Peter how to be Super. May taught him how to be a Hero.

At some point I started getting some optimism that they would finally do some good dramatic stuff with the identity reveal at least and I'm happy to say they delivered on that end absolutely. They brought me back hook line and sinker with all the pre-MCU stuff and somehow managed to make me have a great time and become optimistic for the character's future again.
In a way it's like a grand plan to have their cake and eat it, they made some Spidey movies where the status quo was really integrated to the MCU in risky ways and made it into a big arc taking the character back to the basics. Maybe now that this iteration is a big success they can let him stand on his own more and rely less on the MCU connections and do em in more natural ways.
I would remove that photo. You could get banned because those aren't officially released pics of the movie.Tell those multiple people to go for an eye test.
I wonder what people who haven't seen the Raimi and Webb movies think about this? I have a feeling that they don't find it as good. The old characters appearing is one of the main reasons why I like this so much.
Something I really thought was going to happen but didn't end up happening was Mysterio being revealed to have survived the events of Far From Home and faked his own death to become the sixth villain in the pseudo "Sinister Six" that this movie almost had.
I couldn't really get a good enough look at the new suit at the end but it reminded me of the "classic suit" from the game.That ending really reminded me of the opening to the video game. Good close out to the movie.
I said this in another thread but Wong being revealed as the Sorcerer Supreme because Strange died in the blip was a big surprise to me. He really could have come in handy for the time heist in Endgame but I guess he was too busy fighting in underground tournaments.So I take it Wong went off to fight in that tournament we saw in Shang Chi?
I knew what they were going for, which is why I said "pseudo" Sinister Six, also because Doc Ock had already turned good again well before the final battle so it was more like a Sinster Three and a Half at that point, with Sandman being the half. But I also would have liked to see Vulture again. I know that he, or some variant of him, will be back in Morbius, but there did seem like there was unfinished business with him and Scorpion going all the way back to the post credits scene from Homecoming.They weren't going for a Sinister 6 type thing, they were going for a "one villain from each pre MCU movie" type thing.
SM1 = Green Goblin
SM2 = Doc Ock
SM3 = Sandman
ASM = Lizard
ASM2 = Electro
If they brought in Mysterio then they'd also need to bring in Vulture, because then it'd be about having a villain from every Spider-man movie period.
