Seems like once again, the villains will be the highlight of a Jon Watts Spider-Man movie. Just hearing Dafoe and Molina's voices again was enough to get me hyped. I agree though, the trailer could've been put together better.

"Scooby Doo this crap." - an actual line of dialogue

Sigh, I feel a bit deflated. Like there was cool stuff in that trailer but as a trailer it was not put together well at ALL. No build up, no momentum, no proper introdution of the antagonists and the stakes, AWFUL humor that took me out of the moment, and most importantly NO END STINGER. A cool badass end moment like Cap and Bucky vs Iron Man or The Avengers rushing towards the camera in Wakanda or, idk, SOMETHING cool to hook you. I watched the trailer three times and I dont feel hyped and that really bothers me.
They built to a big climax and edited out the climax. What's the point then? :D

Feels misjudged. Keeping things hidden to this point I don't mind, but now it's getting silly. I know my friends who I have to keep this stuff quiet from will be asking what's going on at the end.

The only thing that truly worries me is the possibility of most (if not all) of the villains being thrown in there for generic action purposes without any real character development whatsoever. It will really make or break this movie for me.

Definitely no need for an event for this whatsoever
Incorrect - the theater event for this built up the hype for the trailer. You saw the responses movie news outlets were getting, unprecedented, and to the level of Endgame/Infinity War. It was trending on social since they announced the in-person event, trended all day today without the trailer, and now the trailer itself is blowing up all over the internet. Sony wins. You can feel however you'd like about it or the trailer itself, but this is a massive W for Sony.

Seeing Ock and Green Goblin again was great, but yeah this trailer was just okay. I felt sad the moment the crying why or kicked in when they asked otto what his name was. And the CGI looks straight up PS2 cut scene in some places. I was hoping for an ending tease, but nope not even that. I, too, feel slightly deflated.

I'm sure I'll be super hyped seeing Tobey again I the cinema though, but it's just hilarious how they edited out the Spider-Men in the climax too.

It's hilarious that they left the part where Lizard clearly gets punched in the trailer. You're going out of your way to delete elements, but you can't change one that hides the deleting. How lazy can you be :funny:

At the very least, I know it was in the leaks, but it's very obvious someone is dying in this film.

TBH i don't think the villains are there for development.

I feel your pain.

I know people will simplify things and say the reason people are complaining is simply cause tobey and Andrew aren’t in it. However it’s not that at all. The trailer was just didn’t hit the mark…

And for the millionth time, why does the cgi keep getting worse? Regressing movie after movie. Weren’t there reports that the cgi team from the asm movies was going to work on these?

Scooby Doo…..

Seems to me like you're just passive-aggressively handwaving away criticism, bud, but alright.

My goodness this trailer was rather poor. If that is at all indicative of the tone and dialogue of the movie then it drastically lowers my expectations of it. The trio laughing at Octavius' name was pure cringe. Strange's Scooby Doo line made me want to puke. A lot of the CGI looked very very iffy.

The only things that popped out in that trailer in terms of excitement was seeing Molina and Dafoe. The rest ranged from forgettable to cringe. I sincerely hope this is not the flavor of movie we are getting. Please, please, PLEASE let this be a misleading trailer.

Also he mentions them all dying to spiderman, but spidey didnt kill sandman right? He just kind of disbursed and blew away, no?

Unless they're all (or mostly all) different variants.
