If this were real it would be announced as a MAJOR event. Can't see this as a major event being talked about before Spider-Verse actually starts. HOAX!
Or a What If? type of story line.

I want this to happen very much. I do think Peter and MJ were awesome as a married couple, and May was great in the mc2. They deserve to be a family.

But I don't think it will stick sadly.

The tweet by Dan was a little ill timed for me as it only got my hopes up further for a Disney/Sony deal to be announced on Tuesday. I'm not naive enough to think Marvel is doing a total 180 on their stance and not only have Pete and MJ married again, but have May as well, but I'm sure interested in what's going on here. That image is wonderful.

So, I'm assuming we haven't commented further on this is because we have become jaded to such announcements.

The only comment I can think of is, I hope that this is true. It just seems as of late that lots of Spidey related news is up in the air. Rumors all over the place. I'm really not sure what to think.

That fate, or the one depicted in the Spider-Girl series, was & is the natural evolution of Peter Parker's character, that of a responsible husband and father, living the kind of life that would make his Uncle Ben & Aunt May truly proud of him. Everything that Marvel has done to avoid that fate has just continued to keep the Spider-books mired in stagnation, stunt storytelling, and ultimately irrelevance.

But that's been Marvel's company-wide M.O. since the early 90s or so, so I doubt they're suddenly seeing the light. This is probably another stunt story. We'll get a glimpse of a happy, mature Peter, and then we'll go right back to immature, emotionally stunted - but single! Isn't that great, isn't that the core of all those great Spidey stories! It's all 1970s all the time! - Peter.

15 or 20 years ago, I would have been mad about that. But at this point it'd be a mercy-killing.

Battleworld is formed AFTER "Everything Ends" takes place. "Everything Ends" is in Spring. "Renew Your Vows" is in Summer. So it's likely "Renew Your Vows" will help shape Spider-man's new reality going forward.

I think it's likely we could see Peter and MJ married again after this event is over. Fingers crossed.
