The film would start off without explaining how Spiderman got his powers but show him stealing stuff for people. So the first 40 minutes will consist of the audience basically hating Spiderman. Maybe add some pedestrians having dialogue as well as building up Aubrey Plaza's character. * A reporters idea (possibly Aubrey Plaza has an idea for a hero called I love you man that goes around signing in sign language "I love you" to people rather than stealing stuff ). This is how Spiderman finds out he can shoot webs. * (part in *'s might be removed). So then Kraven the Hunter comes and fights with Spiderman. After a ten minute fight it seems like Kraven the Hunter is going to win. Then Handle This from Sum 41 plays and people expect a cheesy comeback by Spiderman. However Kraven impales and kills Spiderman (the reason this film will be rated R is because children would not appreciate the loss of life and cheer the death of gorey death of Spiderman I imagine). The story then cues to Japan for a story of a boy and his monster he has been hiding. The monster is spotted by the authorities and they decide to abduct/subdue it to the boy's dismay. They take the monster to New York City as a trap for Kraven the Hunter. The boy steals his parents money to buy a plane ticket to New York (or it could take place in Japan and him just steal money for a bus trip with Kraven going to find the monster rather than the monster being used as a trap I have not decided). The boy pleads Kraven the Hunter to leave the monster alone before taking a cop's gun and trying to shoot Kraven while the safety is on. Kraven throws a spear at the boy but the monster jumps in front. The police officer played by Seal (or a Japanese guy) tasers and subdues Kraven the Hunter. The monster merges inside of the boy as the boy holds the fading creature. Noone else notices and thinks the monster disappears. Then the post credits screen will be Aubrey Plaza signing I love you to a pedestrian that gives her the right away. Noticing a web on her car roof she says something like "I guess I am glad I swallow instead of spit" (implying she got the powers from giving the original spiderman a *******). This sets up the sequel where she works with the Japanese boy to find the necromonicon to try to resurrect spiderman. The Kangaroo (hopefully played by Josh Gad) could appear in that film and destroy the necromonicon thus confirming the permanent death of the previous spiderman and cementing Aubrey Plaza as imo the definitive spiderman even though it would be an alternate universe.

I am also thinking of making the Kangaroo a good guy possibly, adding White Rabbit and the Walrus alongside Frogman for a sequel. Just this first picture is laid out vividly imo.

I appreciate people like you taking the time to write out your ideas. :woot:

First off with all due respect, I have to admit this definitely sounds pretty crazy but was fun to read through (are you somewhat serious about most of it?).

A few Notes Based on What I've Read:
-Partial Snippets of Revamped Origin Avoid: Lol at the learning to shoot webs from "I love You". The audience would cringe though but funny to read. I think any details added to make this version look like a revamped version of Spiderman would be impossible from a movie standpoint.

-Alternate Take Needs to be Succintly Established at the Beginning to Spin-Off: Instead of a direct sequel to a spiderman movie with it bombing as the main character is killed right at the beginning (or having things too fragmented to make fans view the character as SINO or Spiderman-in-Name-Only), I think it's best to flashforward where this alternate take is going to take place right away. For the alternate take, might I suggest an opening saying "In the not to distant probable future" then go to an overhead shot of Central Park where a concert's taking place full of reporters, hippies, and so forth talking. Brief snippets of various odd looking characters within the people at the park talking (brief flashback's complement this from time to time) in which it becames apparent an argument is taking place about how Peter Parker (everyone knows Spiderman at this point) became disillusioned with middle age (angst no more) feeling the good he had done over the years wasn't enough. It becomes apparent some on record saying he stole food for families, other's say he resorted to petty crime to gain cash for his own ends, but all know of his final battle that took place before he died and they're there to show their appreciation that he only got in his life in small amounts or something like that for Spiderman commemoration day.

-A movie's 3rd act can't be it's first act: The battle scene would have to be an opening or sort of a narrative that goes into a series of flashbacks. People aren't gonna be nihilistically kicking back in their seats at the beginning of the movie hearing that Sum-41 song start playing and think here's the cheese comeback getting the expected empowered feeling. I understand you want expectations shifted with a sudden shocking surprise is what I'm getting from this (If made a spiderman movie then suddenly killed off character right at the beginning would be pretty unexpected though).

-Establish a Central Character: If Aubrey Plaza's character supposed to have Spider powers perhaps the whole sexual joke is just a joke she says in the park while hanging from a tree or something (post-credit scene not really work timing wise from what I can see; if it's meant as actual explanation of powers I think wouldn't work for a movie let alone even a comic set in an alternate universe). If some sort of gal-pal before his death suppose could be sort of a way to show how the character kind of sunk (not be married seeing supposed call-girl if that's what she does) but rose to 1 last heroic occasion before his death might work if she's a side character but as a main character lots of exposition would be needed as this an invented for movie character and not want to sacrifice identity of character spinning off from.

-Secondary Character seems too disconnected: The kid with his monster sort of seems like a separate movie. I'm thinking maybe it would be better to put a flunkie superhero in the role of trying to lure Kraven. This seems to be the main character this Audrey Plaza movie pivots around; who this main character is needs to be established moreso in terms of how it connects to the beginning story and is interesting enough to draw an audience. Where'd you get this idea from?

-Aubrey Plaza's Role: Aubrey Plaza is fun in Legion but I think cameo type role would work best although can sort of see her as a White Rabbit character running around doing the whole "I love You" sign in the park (or some freaky mime character people in the park edging away from as people in costumes have powers way too often in the MCU). If she's supposed to be a main character driving the movies she would have to establish herself in the first movie moreso though... A better explanation for how she gets her powers would be for the best. Besides that, I think Aubrey Plaza is moreso a good villain from what I've seen on Legion but perhaps could pull off some sort of other character too perhaps.

-Sequel: The whole plot you wrote hinges too much on a sequel. I don't know about a resurrection storyline but a bit out there trying get Necronomicon from H.P. Lovecraft fit into the movie. Again feels like things need be bit more cohesive.

Hope to not sound too negative, like the fact you seem to like utilizing some oddball characters and injecting some fun into things.

After Legion I want Aubrey as solo Harley.
