Spidey's New Redhead

Should be an interesting crossover. Oeming doing the writing makes it worth checking out for me.

If I recall correctly, I think back when Marvel had the rights to Conan and Red Sonja, they did a team-up issue in the 70's or 80's in which MJ was able to "channel" Red Sonja's spirit from touching a weapon and that was how they fought together. I could be off though.

Nope, you're correct....MJ played Red Sonja on several occasions back in the 80's.

This is a pretty far out crossover.I know it was done in a Marvel Team Up from years back, but still.

Really? Hmm, sound interesting enough. Might have to check it out.

You remember who the creative team behind it was?

Here is one of the issues:

Sweet. I'll look for it next time I'm in the shop. If it's cheap enough for me I'll pick it up. Thanks.

Thanks for the pic of MTU #79, Brainiac 8. Good to know my memory isn't always bad. ;)

None other than Chris Claremont and John Byrne, with Terry Austin on inks. Yes, at one time, MTU was worthy of big league creative teams (they were also doing UNCANNY X-MEN at the time, circa 1979).

Anyway, that was the first thing that came to mind when I heard about this. I thought, "Either someone has a sense of history, or fate really does work in cycles."

Ironic considerin' I just dropped Sonja from my pull list.

Wow, Claremont and Byrne, and back when they were in their "prime"?
I'll definitely have to check it out now. Thanks Dread.
