I know this is not a Movie Thread or Iron Man thread but I found this nice poster of the future instalment of Iron Man 2. Nice! ;)

Also just found this one...

Not sure how he can see anything!!!

i've got one just like this. You're right can't seen anything out of it, so I modified by carefully cutting the eyes out. By wearing a black hood underneath, I can get the comic book look. By putting on a spider3 mask with reflective lenses, i can see really well. :)

To get the eyes to work for the Spider-Man 2099 suit I'd go the route the filmmakers of Watchmen did for Rorscach. Maybe give his costume a darker blue and then where the eyes are put two little eye holes coverd up with wire-mesh colored the same color of the suit.

^Brad

Is the design red as well or transparent? Have you squirted red ink onto the red lycra is what I mean.

I like btw :)

Yeah.. I think that's all they did, but Im not 100% certain. I asked the printer to alter the format of the print to what ever is required when printing on coloured fabric. I've just requested a blue sample.

Can someone give me some recommendations as to where I can get some reflective lenses, or tell me what wire mesh works best for a spidey suit? I bought a cheap zentai spidey suit from ebay and know the eyes are not going to look good so I was hoping I could get some advice from the experts here. Any help will be greatly appreciated. :yay:

Here's my test print of a red part of the suit on red lycra. I gotta to say Im happy with the results. Just need to do some testing to get a nice blue deep blue.

The pic doesnt do the colour deep red justice!!.

Brad...you should try some blue samples printed on the red fabric... that corner of blue looks really good. The red ink on blue would probably give it the nice darker purple color the movie suit has.

Also, anyone else think the Iron man 2 poster looks like a rip off from the spiderman 3 poster??? Red costume against a black one..!

Yeah.. I noticed that also. I got a bit testing to do just yet.

While Im waiting on samples I thought I'd have a go at this request...

Which frames you guys think suit this style better?

:)

The top frame looks best imo. The border is equally weighted and angle of the lens looks very fitting for a JRJR or Romita mask.

Regardless of which one you pick, they all look great! But my vote goes for the second one down. No specific reason, just like it the best. You should make completed lenses of all three, and then after you decide, you can give the other two to us untalented people to put on whatever we want! :yay:

whey, funny on the timing of these Brad,

In view of the lack of real info in reference the the thread title.

I did mine using photoshop cs2 and will finish them on using a free CGI program called . What about your methods agian, I've forgotten since the old thread was demolished.

I think the second set of frames are the ones that match the most Brad, the first frames' lens is a little bit off shape for the Romita look in my opinion, but they all look great.:yay:

Hey Spidermilk, the frames second from the bottom on you're list look like they'd be perfect for a McFarlane style suit, would love to see that but I'm a talentless hack, maybe a seasoned vet could tackle that.

Im thinking the top set. It's pretty much the same drawing Spideyfan970 did. Just a little different in the corner of the eye. I draw them up in CAD do a little magic then use a CNC mill to make a master. From there, I make a silicon mold of the master. But first I'll print out a few different sizes on paper and place on a mask to get the scale right.

Im still waiting on my last order from the printer which included the blue sample. It should arrive mid next week.

Nice selection of frames. There's an endless amount of stuff that could be made if we had the time.

Here's the paper sample. How's the scale look?

They're a fraction bigger then the movie frames.

Scale looks great, those are going to be some great frames.

Fresh from the mold... but I wouldnt recommend the mirror tint finish as this was only for display.
