[SPOILERS] "More enjoyable than Transformers 2"? New Reviews!

It's from the AICN circle jerk of hate.

Which, themselves were basically cartoons on paper.

Cartoons never showed the Baroness getting 3rd Degree burns from an exploded Hiss Tank, or showed Snake-eyes marred face. The comics were worlds better than the cartoons, and it's pretty dumb to compare the two.

"Cartoon" is, of course, used loosely.

Don't recall making a statement about the comics quality, or their maturity. I made a statement that the comics were basically cartoons on paper.

The comics under Hama tended to be decent, and he put a lot of his own experiences and knowledge into them, but they still had their share of silliness and over the top elements.

Whats with the Transformers 2 hate?

It's because the pacing could have been a lot tighter with less obvious plot holes, there were a couple of really annoying characters (the Twins) and in my opinion, the action a little too large scale and over the top to the point I couldn't figure out what was going on or which robot was on which side.

In other words, the simpler, smaller-scaled original was better in comparison.

Because it's making more money than the crappy Star Trek which all the Trekkies are *****ing about.

On the other hand with the G.I.Joe movie I'm still curious to see it despite the silly aspects to it and I'm a die hard Joe fan and I think of the movie as an alternate universe, I just hope that the current comics don't start reflecting the movie designs.

Yeah, it says that someone likes something you don't. Shocking, I know. :oldrazz:

Anyway, I like ROTF and can't wait to see G.I. Joe. So I'm happy. :woot:

Yeah, shocking that I don't like sh**ty movies because I apparently have standards. What a concept.

Well good luck with that.

We'll all see it at some point, either by paying, by sneaking in, or watching it on bootleg. The fact that you watch it all after saying you never would means they still got you.

Oh, I'll watch it... probably on DVD, for the same reason I'd watch "Cool as Ice." I love a good laugh.

HEY. :cmad: Say whatever the hell you want about G.I. Joe, but you watch yourself. I've banned people for less. :cmad:

As a lifelong Joe fan, I want to see it. Does it look like the Joe movie I want to make? No. But I'm willing to give it a look.

I'm actually liking a lot of the footage that's being shown in more recent commercials.

It has to be better than Transformers for 2 simple reasons:

1. It's about the Joes and Cobra members. It's not about civilians tagging along.

2. Nobody pisses on anybody.

I walked out of the Tranformers right after Bumblebee pissed on John Turturro. I found that movie insulting to so much of my intelligence. It's alright to be a somewhat mindless action movie if there are somewhat interesting characters, good energy, and a sense of humor. TF had none of that. The characters were lame and the humor was far too crude for the subject material.

So all of the negative reviews that Transformers 2 got were made by trekkies? I guess I'll be waiting an eternity for you to provide proof that backs up this bizzare claim.

"More enjoyable than Transformers 2"!??!?!

Come on, the only thing tat isnt is Dragonball Evolution...
(ok mayb Chun li...)

With the early reviews being more positive than I expected I am now looking forward to seeing this. Like many others have said, I'm sure the film won't be a masterpiece, but it sounds like it could be fun if your expectations aren't to high. Seeing as how my expectations were basically non existent prior to these reviews hopefully I will enjoy it.

Harry loved it? Will wonders never cease?

Harry loved It? Hey, you hear he's just got a new house too?
