adaware is a good program also but Spybot S&D is always updating there software

yes superman... spybot s&d will delete any suspicious or infectious problems your computer is facing.... plus it has a fantastic immunize feature that will block used network ports on ur computer and stray you away from known problem causing websites

Try SuperAntiSpyware as well. I tend to use all 3 that have been mentioned.

kinda off topic... but I highly recommend CCleaner also.... it keeps ur hard disk cleaned up pretty well and has a registry check that can delete any unknown registry extensions

I got hit over the weekend (the trojan) I got webroot to take care of it, and while it worked well, it told me to restart to get rid of the 28 things it found. Anyway, it wound up deleting several start up scripts that have prevented me from getting back onto that computer. I ended up **** canning it, and buying a new machine. (Been meaning to buy a new one anyway.)
Is their a way to bypass the log on? Because when I log on, it automatically logs me off and I can't get to anything.

Any help fromyou good folk will be appreciated!

Yeah you can bypass the log on by getting rid of your user password and turning off the XP welcome screen.

boot from XP and press the left SHIFT button
then pick, boot into safe mode!

if you cant get rid of your spyware, its possible that you have some kind of virus on your comp. in that case, you may have to re-format your hard drive.
