Squadron Supreme

Thought I would breath some life into this thread since the new issue came out the other day. I have not read the full thin yet but I noticed something that somewhat bothered me. It looks like Greg Land recycled an image he created before. I do not know how common something like this is but for me it is very disappointing.

Looks like he used this image he created for Phoenix Endsong:

And remade it into a character in Squadron Supreme. I believe her name is Nell:

The position of her body and hands are identical. The hair color is as well which is funny since, inside the comic, this character has what appears to be black hair. I guess I feel somewhat cheated...

Greg Land does that.

And that's why I feel ashamed I even gave this new squadron a chance...

As a huge Phoenix Endsong fan I felt somewhat slighted ... this was one of my favorite images from it.

I did not realize he did this, has done it so many times and has built up a reputation for it. After I posted this I did a search online and was surprised to see many topics created about this ... wow

I care. It's sad that Land, who's not a bad artist, can't take the time to come up with his own work rather than stealing others'. It's almost a certainty that that pic initially came from a magazine, too.

If he's going to do it, he needs to take his own pictures to do it.

Meh, I'm kind of bored of talking about Land's plagiarism. It's out there, everyone knows about it. I choose not to read his comics unless it's something that's really, really, really appealing otherwise, and I'm content with that.

But it is fun to spot the cumshot pictures he uses for reference when a woman is yelling in the middle of battle.

I'm really not all that interested in these "new heroes". Where's the old bunch?

Spoons... I'm afraid that they're only in the old issues of Supreme Power. :csad:

They never should have left the Max Line.

:csad: I want the Squadron back... and not this Marvel f**k-up they call the squadron now.

So is Ultimate Fury stuck in this universe and coming up with heroes based on his original universe counterparts?

Im not saying he used someone else's to create that image .... what I am saying is that he RECYCLED one of his own. Wonder how many times we are going to see this since he is doing all the covers for Squadron Supreme.

Land does that... all the time... even with images that aren't his. Everyone knows and no one does anything about it.

I think they had to change one of his covers one time, actually. The one where he copied a famous photographer's picture of the Spanish president or king (I think) as a 'drawing' of Magneto.

Oh god... taking another look at the cover... and he used the same face for Fake Cap and random dude...

I f**king hate Greg Land.

Ok, I really don't get it. What exactly was the point of restarting this and forgetting about all the characters that made Squadron Supreme successful in the first place?

To force us to care about Ultimate Power...which I STILL haven't read and never will :o

Or to setup a huge reveal around issue 6 or 7 about what the real team has been up to... or at least the ones that started it.

Then there will be a big fight new vs. old... then they'll have to team up... blah blah blah

W/e I wanna rewind time to Redstone vs Hyperion/Nighthawk in the mall :o
