Square Enix's Avengers

I'm not upset. Just annoyed because I don't get why be like that

The mention of single player is comforting. Raising optimism levels to cautious.

However, how will multiplayer work when picking characters? I assume people just join up with their current version of character. So I'd expect to see like 3 Iron Man's on a team.

Maybe you only to get to choose what's available like on Star Wars Battlefront with heroes and villains. You get a character select screen and if someone is using a character then you can't be it unless that person dies

What worries me about multiplayer is i don't want them to bombard the game with over twenty playable characters like they always do in their most recent games. Anyway, the single player campaign is what I'm looking forward to, as long as they get that one right, I'm happy.

4 player co-op is the limite and it's you and your best friend's (3 at most) against the stories villains in the game .

No different from when you played street's of rage final fight or what done in current games like boarder lands. but then again it should have stopped at co-op . there big difference be Multiplayer and co-op but some people have this bad habit of bluring the two thing it's more then 20 player in match against each like some out of cod or games like over watch.

wording is very important and people with the habit of "catch all " wording and not caring for the details mess alot of things up for others who do know better and what those others under stand of things.

I love me as many players as possible in most multiplayer games but 4 player co op is the perfect multiplayer for this and that's what it is

yep 4 player co-op is best for most games i'm into. and would a plly best to alot of super hero games from marvel games (though we do need another MMO since bad event took away marvel heroes Omega) but this what team based game should be like on console any way for couch co-op.

I've been saying that since assassins creed origins came out and when we got that black panther Easter egg in Assassins creed odyssey. Lol
I think it would be cool if we have a new Marvel console open world game, ala Assassin's Creed/GTA meets Arkham, every year. Last year, its Spider-Man, this year, its the Avengers, next year, its the X-Men, next next year, its Black Panther. Then after ten years, we have a dozen of games (including Spider-Man/Avengers game #2 being released along with the other games), they are all connected and we can compare them all to each other and rank them all and see how the games and characters evolve. To me, that would be the ultimate Marvel gaming experience.

Ultimate Alliance and those Capcom games were nice in the beginning, the earlier games were part of my childhood/school days, but the newer games of those won't take Marvel games into new heights. I haven't played MVC Infinite, simply because I have more exciting games in my list and the reception to it isn't great. While MUA3, limited its market when they decided to be a Switch exclusive and I'm a playstation guy and even if it is coming to ps4, I wouldn't excited to play because the design style looks dated.

I dont think they need to all be open world, but an open universe is welcome.

I'm fine with linear games inbetween the games as they might be quicker to make. I also can't imagine an open world Dr. Strange videogame and an open world Captain Marvel game with Carol hopping to dozen of planets in free roam could be difficult to make.

I was thinking about the way the world was set up in Dragon Age: Inquisition. You've got different locations on a map and each one contains it's own open world. Some small and some quite large. Though who knows which locations will be featured in this game. However it should definitely have some sort of open world aspect. I don't want to be Thor or Iron Man and be limited to just fly around a dungeon crawl. We've got that with MUA.

The way I envision it, you have New York City for the city roaming where Avengers mansion, Spidey's home, Sanctum, Stark Tower and Shield are all located. Then I guess you need to go to a specific place or use a specific character to go to Asgard, Wakanda, Quantum Realm, space or just click the touchpad button to fast travel to those locations. Anyway, its not really new but it could take years to polish the game especially making stories/side quests for the playable characters.

So they really managed to get different developers to work with a shared universe?

So what kind of game is this? I see it has RPG/customisation elements. So we talking Dark Souls or Diablo?

I'm so ready for this game. Hoping it eventually leads to FF, X-Men, Strange/Midnight Sons and a Guardians game with all the big cosmic characters. So much potential.

The anctipation and hype is heating up the closer we get to e3! Even IF we don't get much footage, we should end up knowing exactly what kind of game it is and a single screenshot Is always worth a thousand words.

We can simply get an image of Cap and Iron Man about to fight someone and it would get dissected for character models, costumes, graphics and overall art style

Yeah I’m gagging for e3 this year. It’s going to be a great year

Educated speculation, but I don't think it would be a shock if a shared gaming universe was part of the long term plan.

It could have been part of the agreement between marvel and the developers.

An mmo like Final Fantasy 14 may also be a possibility.
it's defiantly not gonna be that.

Thanks for posting. So 'never ever say never' isn't confirmation or denial, but if we get another version of a character in a game that's in a different universe I'd be satisfied with that.
