Square Enix's Avengers

Collectibles, Gear upgrades, etc. It was fun for ME smashing things and holding X. Just saying it wasn't a bad experience for ME
That's fine. I am asking how it's awesome loot in the context of this game. Especially as they are clearly building everything around the cosmetics, while the upgrades don't actually add anything to the game and they have built a ridiculous grind into the game for the stuff that actually matters, which is exactly why the loot you can get in the game is sup meaningless. That or you buy an individual battle pass, like you are playing a mobile game.

I ain't planning on using microtransactions but if there's a skin I really like, good thing for me that I can use my Microsoft Rewards as at least there's that

What "awesome loot"? All the loot is non-cosmetic, and barely effect the actual gameplay.

That it's non-cosmetic is great. I don't want to have my known superheroes look like crap like you do in every random looter game where it's visible, until you get some set gear. I'm not into hobo Iron Man having to scavenge parts from different suits to get by.

How much loot affects gameplay is pretty pointless to try to talk about since we haven't even seen how loot looks in later levels when it's supposed to get more character specific, including the highest tier items that are also more specific in use. I'm assuming you didn't just talk about stats increasing your efficiency.

Could have been worse but yeah in general they are a disgusting existence

I think it's good if it's just for cosmetics and it supports continuous playable content like characters, story, areas, etc. Cosmetics are just optional extras, since there are plenty of free ones as well, while playable content would feel much more mandatory to pay for if it cost money.

Continuous development costs money so adding more content must be financed somehow.

Yeah I guess. Good point and that is what Square Enix is claiming to be doing

Get to play tomorrow since I'm getting the Deluxe Edition! Pretty hyped!

EDIT: Aaaaaand my pre-load is officially installed!

I'm also getting the Deluxe Edition. Digital version and so I may be able to play at 11pm as usually I am able to play at that time the night before digital releases

Even considering my guy's inclusion in the game, I'm just not that into it. I played the demo and it was decent fun but it feels like they could have taken the MCU's approach and made sure they try to perfect each individual character's game before trying the big crossover event.

That said, the hulk hands for fortnite were a nice touch. I love those big green suckers. So much I've even put up a pair of these in the house.

It seems fair to me at this point. It's now confirmed that if you complete the challenge cards for the starting heroes you'll be able to earn 7800 credits (1300 per hero). Given that it costs 1000 credits to unlock all the cards for a post launch hero, but you'll earn another 1300 for completing them, it seems like you'll never have to spend any money unless you want a good amount of costumes that are in the store, or just decide that you want to support the ongoing development of the game.

Whats the difference with the deluXe edition.

Eh not much really. A costume pack for the main 6 characters similar to the Avengers Endgame team suits, Nameplates and the game playable 4 days earlier than the standard edition. I think that's it

I got it because I used $20 from my saved up Microsoft Rewards points

Enjoy your Early Access! :argh:

What does it mean?

You get different kinds of rewards with battle cards such as gear, costumes and nameplates and stuff. I believe you can get that content separately by playing but basically the packs are content bundles for each character instead of just grinding

Oh.i don't care much about costumes, gears, name plares as long as I can play the post launch characters without paying $10 and I could defeat enemies without paying for special gears.

I'm really curious if this reviews well.
