Yeah the microtransactions are a comin' back so said EA at their investor's meeting. Also Battlefront 2 only sold 7 million copies.

After this and what happened with Mass Effect, I'm not inclined to get any game put out by EA, unless there's a demonstrable effort on their part to stop their anti-consumer antics.

I doubt that if its true Disney would completely take away the license, its more likely they would remove its exclusivity. Disney want more Star Wars games being made, they are putting out a film a year yet outside of a few mobile games the only Star Wars games in the past few years have been the two Battlefront games which had the bad luck to become the breaking point of the growing anger over lootboxes in games. The EA deal has gotten Disney only two AAA games and publicity they didn't want, EA don't even have a Star Wars game coming out this year.
