Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Just whooped the apprentice's ass in Soul Calbur IV. Cant wait to tear it up as him.

With only three days left I've started my freak out stage. I got really excited for Too Human and now I have to admit it wasn't worth the hype.

Anyone else started to get worried?

I usually don't freak out unless I was planning to buy a game on opening day. I might wait a while on this one anyway since I don't have a lot of money ATM, so if it bombs I won't be too shattered.

I am planning on opening day. I've played the demo quite a few times and if I don't get it right away then I might just burst. Seriously though, if I don't get it now I won't be able to for a while so I want to get it as soon as possible.

If it bombs I guess I'll just sigh. After all I bought Batman Begins for the XBox...

No, not in the slightest. Iv played the demo enough to KNOW I'll have fun with the game. I couldn't care less as to what others have to say about it.

I doubt it, I was at my GS the other day to pick up a night & one of the clerks said to some guy it was sold out.

That's how I feel. It seemed like a better version of the game Psy-Ops (which is a compliment).

I hate how the demo just abruptly stops and doesn't let you come to some sort of ending to the level. BUT the demo is so pleasing and fun to play...it's easy to over look that small inconvinence.:woot:

I have to wait til the 25th to pick this game up. So hopefully you guys can share what I'm missing out on til then.:csad:

If u guys have a 360, check out the vids in the "Inside Xbox" section. They got a pretty cool vid on TFU. It shows u the location of the first saber cyrstal and offers some other tips. Also shows the Apprentice using a purple bladed lightsaber while sporting a costume i havent seen before.

I think I have seen those on IGN as well.

Also IGN has gave the game a 7.3

So at some point to you get to semi-customize him?? Or is that just a hidden gem of a costume to unlock?

PSP beat the other versions by 0.2 on IGN. Pretty surprising.

I hate that most people think 7-8 are bad scores and 8.5 and up are the only good games.

The game hits on my birthday, so it's an obvious birthday present for me, I loved the demo and can't wait to see what happens after the AT-AT battle. I know the demo just sortof "ends" but the developers said we'll be getting a completely different ending then the one in the demo.

Well, im not taking any thing away from those scores. I plan on picking the game up tonight, so ill find out quickly what the game is really rated.

No, I wasn't saying you were.

Just in general. I have friends who are saying "dude, Xbox magazine only gave it a 7.5" to which I'm like "...ok? So it's bad now?"

I just despise the insanely high standards gamers have today. If a game doesn't hit an 8.5 or over it's unplayable.

I TOTALLY AGREE, IF A GAME GETS A 7+ RATING FROM COMBINED USERS, NOT CRITICS, BECAUSE THAT'S JUST ONE JADED PERSON'S OPINION, AND I'M INTERESTED IN THE GAME, THEN I'LL BUY IT!!! FOR ME THERE'S ONLY ONE THING I CARE ABOUT WHEN IT COMES TO BUYING GAMES, AM I HAVING FUN PLAYING IT, THAT'S IT, GRAPHICS, PHYSICS, MULTIPLAYER THAT'S ALL FINE AND DANDY BUT, FOR ME IT ALL BOILS DOWN TO THE FUN FACTOR!!!:D:up:

7.5-ish is not a bad score. It means that the game is good, but it's not an instant classic. Anything between 6 and 7 pretty much means that some people will like it, but most people probably won't. 5 means it's not worth your time, and the scores below that mean not enjoyable to flat out suckage.

Games can be immensly fun, and yet suffer from horrid bugs and stuff, would you still buy it then?

Take Two Worlds for example. The game was literally a better Oblivion, but it had huge framerate issues and tons of other little bugs in it. I had more fun playing the demo of that game than I did in the entire time I went through Oblivion, but because it was so riddled with bugs and other issues, it got such a terrible score and such negative reviews.

I generally ignore just about everyones reviews. If a game gets an overall score that sucks or is great, that's good for the game. Some games don't deserve such high praise (FFVII:Crisis Core is a perfect example), and some games deserve a much higher score than they get.

And games like Infinite Undiscovery, where you have to sheathe your sword every 2 goddamn minutes to do anything, and where sometimes you're just at a blank as to what to do/where to go and there's nothing in game to help, people will rave and go on about excluding these things entirely. Never in my life has a game got me so into it, and yet I'm so frustrated by the poor mechanics the developers chose. Hell, it took me a good 30 minutes to figure out that you had to sheathe your sword and use the catapults about 2 hours into the game, and it never occured to me that you would have to do something as asasine as that during a huge battle.

Game Informer gave it an 8.75, and since I tend to agree with their reviews most of the time, as well as the insane level of fun I had with it, the game is mine tomorrow.

Oh yes.

I am definitely getting the game on Friday. Slightly concerned about the bug issues though.

I played the demo tonight to see if it was worth purchase. I think its rental quality at best. I was bored with the basic hack and slash game play by the time I finished the demo. I don't think a 60 dollar investment is a wise move for me.

Iv played through most of the first level, the level that has you controlling Vader and it was INSANELY fun. Darth Vader is a f'ing BEAST! Ill be picking this one up TONIGHT. CANT WAIT!!!
