Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Now that I bought it on the cheap, I wouldn't mind a new mission, as long as it's at least bigger than the Jedi Temple dlc.

I just hope any future DLC skips the "move these balls with your mind!" puzzles.

Yes, I hated that test. Getting the achievement for that was a bugger.

I just got this game, it's pretty good so far. I'm only on mission 2 (mission 3 if you count the Vader level).

The Jedi Temple mission pack is now available for 400 points (instead of 800), but only for this week, as part of Xbox LIVE's Deal of the Week.

This makes me mad, as I downloaded the Temple pack just a couple of weeks ago. :cmad:

It's really short, but pretty fun. Except for the ball moving test. :cmad:

LucasArts today announced that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will see further expansion this fall through a new downloadable level for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 systems. In a move sure to please fans of the original trilogy, this level will take place on the famous planet of Tatooine. The new downloadable mission continues the story of The Force Unleashed in a new "Infinities" storyline that takes the Star Wars Saga in an entirely new and unexpected direction.

The mission begins at the end of the story of The Force Unleashed and re-imagines the Star Wars Saga as if the Secret Apprentice had killed Darth Vader and taken his place at the Emperor's side, becoming the most powerful Sith Lord in the universe. The story picks up as the Emperor sends his new apprentice to the planet Tatooine to dispatch Obi-Wan Kenobi - who has been hiding on the planet ever since the events of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. During their hunt for the reclusive Jedi, players will also explore the depths of Jabba the Hutt's palace and encounter notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett.

In addition to this DLC, LucasArts also announced The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition, a special new version of the game for the Xbox 360 and PS3. This compilation will show gamers the deepest, darkest side of the Force in a story that puts them on a collision course with Luke Skywalker himself. Available this holiday season at retail stores, The Ultimate Sith Edition will include all of the original missions found in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed as well as content previously only available via download and an all-new exclusive bonus level.

The additional content includes two levels set on Coruscant and Tatooine previously only available via direct download, and an all-new exclusive level available only in the Ultimate Sith Edition package.

The exclusive level concludes the "Infinities" storyline set up in the Tatooine mission, as the Secret Apprentice is sent to the planet Hoth on a crusade to crush the Rebellion once and for all. While on Hoth, players face Luke Skywalker himself while visiting iconic locations seen in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back

EDIT: There was another report that said that the Tatooine mission will be released in August. Fall is the released date of the Ultimate Sith Edition that includes all DLC including an exclusive Hoth mission.

Man, did I ever pick a bad time to buy the game. I bought it like two days ago. Haha.

If anyone is interested, I've been enjoying it immensely.

I wish I would have kept mine. But I got it when I first got my 360. Didnt know much of anything about dlc :( for shame. I'm a go out and buy it again so I can get all the new stuff.

Since you don't have it anymore, wait for the Ultimate Sith Edition that's going to be released this Fall. It'll include all DLC released so far, the Tatooine level that will be released in August and the exclusive to the Sith edition Hoth level.

Good idea. Save up and get more for my buck [no rhyme intended]. Where does the dlc missions fit in the story?

Yeah. The special edition will probably be cheaper than buying the game and all the DLC and the Hoth mission is exclusive to that edition (although I find that weird because is kinda screws people that bought the game already, including the DLC).

Both missions take place after the Dark Side ending. Starkiller is sent to Tatooine to kill Obi-Wan. He also goes to Jabba's Palace and fights Boba Fett. The second mission takes place on Hoth. Starkiller goes there to find and kill Luke.

That's pretty clean. The Tatooine level caught my imaginiation when reading the article. That does suck though that there would be a disc-exclusive. Putting the Hoth mission out would be a good look I would think.

This wasn't mentioned, but I think we will. We did with the Jedi Temple mission. The original site that had the press release from LucasArts, took it down. I guess they were told to wait until the Star Wars panel at Comic-Con today.

I got my copy at TRU for $16 during a sale. I still haven't opened it so I'm probably going to return it now. I assume the Sith Edition will also include the Jedi Temple DLC.

It seems like it'll include everything. The skin packs, the Jedi Temple mission, the Tatooine mission and the Hoth mission.

Dark, this is my last question. Did the Jedi Temple DLC offer new moves and powers?

Nope. Blackman (the project lead) said they were thinking about adding some powers that were cut from the game, but they didn't include any with the Jedi Temple DLC. Maybe they will include some with the special edition. We'll have to wait for the official press release later today to see if anything is mentioned, although I doubt it.

Im all for some new DLC but i wish it was more cannon stuff. Dont really care to play through a 'what if' scenario. I mean thats the reason i chose to take out the Emperor in the first place.

Based on TFU's canon ending, I'm glad we're getting non cannon stuff. What would they release? Unless they added missions between the story like with the Jedi Temple DLC. It's more interesting imo. Leave any canon stuff for a new game (although I don't really think TFU 2 would be a good idea. A game with the tech/engines of TFU though...that would be nice).
