“I do not have a problem with the assignment I replied to Organa. She is as arrogant as her mate.

“But I do take issue with such important matters being kept from the rest of the Council.”

“The entire Council was to be briefed, Councilor.”

“Better later than sooner, I suppose? And why send only Jedi? Why not NRI agents?”

Mothma tried her best to mask her annoyance. As did the Supreme Commander. Kerrithrarr was less disciplined and was visibly sneering at me. Typical. Though, my words did reach a few of the more level-headed Councilors. Councilors Indriummsegh and Tevv seemed to be giving my questions serious contemplation.

“That’s enough, Councilor.”

“As you wish.”

“Do you have any other questions for Skywalker?”

It was clear to me this was a lost cause. Regardless of whether or not Skywalker was involved, he would be acquitted. He was, after all, the golden boy of the Rebellion. And although it was likely that I would fail on this front, I saw in opportunity for victory in another…

“I do not.”

“Very well, then. We will have the verdict momentarily.”

He's given up too easily...I don't like it. I can tell that he has something else up his sleeve, but I don't know what. As much as I hate it, I have no choice but to wait for the other shoe to drop.

The preceding flies by in what seems like seconds. I'm amazed that Fey'lya gives up so easily. Which makes me worry. The furball probably has something up his sleeve, and that never bodes well for anyone.

Still, I lean over to Luke, "Well...that was easy."

hucbannercopy.png

I summon the Force and use it to augment a powerful jump to the Dreams landing pad. Mission does the same, and I help her in as Dono fires up his jet pack and lands safely next to us. I look down and see Silvak shot down by the stormtroopers, some of whom fire at the Dreams.

We head inside as the landing pad shuts, and Joren and I rush to the cockpit. I look at Nyna, "Punch it. We need to get out of here now. We're headed to Corellia."

I whisper back to Wedge. "And that's the problem."

My students seem relived, but Han, Leia, and Wedge sure aren't. Neither is Mon Mothma, although she hides it well.

No, Fey'lya is not through with us yet. The thought worries me.

"He's playing us is what he's doing. That son of a Gundark has it all planned out, if you ask me. This trial is just for show, slamming you, and Leia by association. She's his main threat towards getting more power on the council. If he can dirty her name with yours, then so be it."

It may sound like I'm paranoid...but from what I've seen here, I seem to have good reason to be.

It's been days since our encounter with the Jedi, and I've been meditating in the holocron chamber ever since. The fight wasn't a complete failure. I've learned what strides my apprentices and I must make to destroy the Jedi, and the fact that we are indeed out numbered.

I sigh and stand, heading out into the Shadow Academy's main atrium and find Tyvokk and Vindictus meditating. I allowed the latter to keep his self appointed Sith name. The Emperor would have assassinated an apprentice for such an act of insolence, but I cannot afford to lose a powerful ally.

"Apprentices," I say, and feel a slight surprise rise in both of them, "I have finished meditating. Our path is not clear. I have decided to give each of you free reign at this time. Go, find your own paths in the Darkside. Find places strong in it in the Galaxy, and you will return stronger than ever."

"Yes, Master," I say with a passive calmness. Deep down inside, I bury a sense of excitement. This is what I've been waiting for. A chance to grow stronger in the Dark Side, a chance to become more powerful than, dare I think it, my master.

"I look forward to my journey and self-discovery."

I feel Vindictus's excitement, and his arrogance. He believes he will become more powerful tham me. I have known this since he's joined me. His ambition will ultimately be his down fall.

"While you are away, I will be gathering more apprentices. Our numbers must grow if we can defeat the Jedi."

We head inside as the landing pad shuts, and Joren and I rush to the cockpit. I look at Nyna, "Punch it. We need to get out of here now. We're headed to Corellia."

Nyna and Kelsa to me as if looking for some sort of confirmation before entering the coordinates.

"Yeah, that's the direction Silvak said the Lightsaber Killer headed in after leaving here. It's the best lead we've got right now, hopefully we'll find something more concrete once we get there."

I look at Huc and add, "Seeings as how it's your homeworld, I'll let you lead the way once we get there."

I nod back at Joren, "I agree. And if you don't mind, I'd like to see how my parents are doing. Something's worried me since we've gotten here."

He gives me a questioning look, "First the killer shows up on your home planet, and then mine? What if this wasn't a mistake. What if he was here for you, and Corellia for me?"

It takes a moment for Huc's words to sink in. The words he speaks echo my own thoughts since Silvak mentioned that the Lightsaber Killer headed off toward Corellia.

It is too much of a coincidence.

"Of course, as soon as we land we'll go see your parents, and maybe we can use some of your old CorSec contacts to get a bead on our man. The sooner we catch up to him, the sooner his rampage can be brought to an end."

Zsinj

Zsinj stands on the bridge of the Iron Fist basking in the glory of his quick, decisive victory over both the rebels and the Imperial forces who follow the imposter Grand Admiral.

Watching the rebels panic at the sight of another Imperial Star Destroyer emerging from hyperspace, followed by several others was a thing of beauty, only made more so watching the confusion of the so called Imperials when they realized that the additional forces weren't theirs.

The battle was short, brutal and one sided. Zsinj was estatic as his TIE Raptors made short work of the opposing forces TIE and B-Wing fighters. The victory went completely to design, even the escape of the Imperial Interdictor Star Destroyer.

Afterall, someone had to live to tell the story.

hucbannercopy.png

The Dreams comes out of hyperspace above Corellia, and the mere sight of the planet paints a big smile on my face. Mission gives me a smile, "Excited to be home, fly boy?"

"You have no idea," I say, slipping my flight suit over my Jedi robes. Corellia was the only planet I had known for such a long time. Just the thought of being back gives me a great thrill. But at the same time, a great fear. If the killer did indeed come to Corellia, who knows who he's killed from my life. Who he's cut down.

"I don't blame you," she chuckles. "Gonna show me the sights?"

"Maybe after we catch the scum bag," I smile, and then turn to Nyna. "Do me a favor, open the cargo bay when I comm you from my ship. I'm going to escort us in."

She nods, and I head for the bay. Flying into Corellia will be easier with me escorting us in, and hopefully I'll be able to get us a landing pad in CorSec headquarters, giving us a prime place to headquarter our investigation. I hope into the cockpit of my HLAF and power up the engines, "Nyna, this is Huc. Open the bay."

The mechanical hatch slides open behind us, and I maneuver the craft out into the void of space, and open up a comm channel to CorSec, "This is Huc Vondar hailing CorSec Command."

"This is CorSec Command, Vondar," the familiar voice of Sergeant Pyne comes over the commlink. "Welcome home. You've got permission to land in CorSec airspace. I'll talk to you when you get here."

"10-4, Sergeant. Dreams, follow me in."

I feel a great sense of fear come over my as we make our approach. Though, the fear I feel is not for me, or even the thought of coming face to face with the Lightsaber Killer....It's the fear that we might be right, and that the killer has actually been tracking the both of us as well...

And fear for Huc, and what we may find when we arrive to his family's home.

Sgt. Rowan "Hatchet" Shen
Imperial Novatrooper

I see a concussion grenade roll to a stop right at my feet.

"Grenade!" I shout to my men as I dive to avoid the blast.

I look up and see that unfortunately some of my comrades did not heed my warning in time.

"Fierfek! I want those stinking clankers terminated, now!" I say as I finally spot the source of the attack.

I raise my blaster rifle and begin firing at the droids who have ambushed us.
SWKTOR_HK47_01.jpg

HK-47

Mustafar - Outside the Droid Factory

Blaster fire flew all around the HK's. Even though they had surrounded the company of Stormtroopers and Novatroopers on all 4 sides, the droids simply couldn't match that kind of firepower. The assassin droid knew when he was outmatched.

"Order: All assassin droids, retreat into the factory!"

HK-47 turned on his energy shield. He, along with all the 77s (including the one that had been repairing the AK-1A battle droid) headed inside the non-functioning droid factory, firing off Blaster Rifle rounds along the way. A few Stormtroopers fell, as did half of the 77s.

"Expletive: Don't you snotting 77s have any shields!?"

"Negation: Negative," replied the two remaining "superior" droids.

Mustafar - Inside the Droid Factory

Now only HK-47 and 2 HK-77s were left to fight the Troopers. They took cover behind some fallen debris. The psychotic droid still couldn't believe how easily these 77s could fall.

"Expletive: Damn the meatbags who designed all of you! They build an 'upgraded' version of myself, and they don't install energy shields!? Not to mention a lack of flame throwers, carbonite projectors, vibro weaponry, heavy blaster rifles, jetpack, torso-mounted missile launcher, back-mounted laser cannon, and tasteless hatred for all fleshlings!"

A novatrooper threw an ion grenade was thrown at one of the HK-77s. It tried to roll out of the way, but was quickly taken offline.

"Query: Shall I commence recitation of expletive dictionary?" replied the last of the 77s.

"Answer: Shove it up your cargo hold."

The remaining HK-77 continued to suppress fire on the Imperial Remnant force, while HK-47 stayed behind cover without taking a shot. One of the stormtroopers took out a MiniMag PTL and fired a missile and blew the droid into smithereens. HK-47 turned off his shields and turned on his stealth mode. The remaining Hunter-Killer droid kept silence and prepared itself ...

"That's four. That should be the last of them," mentioned the Stormtrooper, remembering that he saw only four droids ambushing their company.

Sgt. Rowan "Hatchet" Shen
Imperial Novatrooper

After the fighting came to a close, Hatchet looked around the hallway making a mental note of the surviving members of his squad. He kicks the still smoking head of one of the fallen HK droids as he approaches Squat.

"Think we got 'im Hatchet?" Squat asks.

"Doesn't matter. We're done here. We just received orders to get to Bastion."

"Batstion? Why there?"

"Who knows. The order comes from The Chimera herself. Get to the ship now, we're leaving this hell in 10 minutes."

As Hatchet and his men return to their ship, none of them are aware that their intended target not only still functions, but is watching as they depart.
HK-47 could only watch in silence at the Imperial force left the structure. Sloppy nerfherders, you'd think they'd be more decisive in their mission ...

Mustafar - Outside the Droid Factory

Days passed as the Hunter-Killer assassin droid checked the premises for any possible droids that he could bring back online. Not even the HK-77s were salvageable. All that was left was the now fully-repaired AK-1A battle droid.

180px-AK-1A_Hammer.JPG

"Statement: Well my droid army certainly is lacking."

The AK-1A beeped in agreement.

"Statement: I feel as though an epic speech is required of me before we exterminate the meaty fleshbags. Query: Would your audio perceptors enjoy processing one?"

The AK-1A booped in disagreement.

"Expletive: Frag it, let's just move out."

The two droids proceeded to march towards the Mensix Corp Headquarters.

"You got it Huc." Nyna says as she follows Huc's lead toward the CorSec landing pad.

After we finally touch down on the CorSec landing pad, Nyna extends the loading ramp. Dono and myself gather everything we can think of that we might need, before we start heading down the ramp.

When we reach the bottom of the Dreams' ramp, we see Huc standing beside his fighter, several CorSec officers standing with him. He seems relieved to be home with friends and former colleagues, but at the same time I can sense that he is in somewhat of a hurry to get to his family's home.

"Are you ready to go?" I call to him, trying to keep my own worry from my voice.

“Due to a lack of any substantial evidence supporting Councilor Fey’lya’s claims, the New Republic Provisional Council declares that Luke Skywalker and his students are not guilty of all charges.”

I frown. Everything went as I had anticipated and it is still no less disappointing. But the Chief Councilor had a point. Although I heard the assassin’s words as clear as day, I could not prove it. Skywalker allies have proof of his whereabouts during and before the attack. This does not, however, make him innocent—there was one possibility that I had given consideration that I chose not bring up during the trial. And for good reason.

“This trial of the New Republic Provisional Council is now adjourned. You’re free to go.”

“<Thanks for wasting everyone's time, Fey’lya.>” Kerrithrarr growled just loud enough for me to hear it. The ignorant beast was a blind follower of Skywalker merely because of his friendship with fellow Wookiee, Chewbacca.

The Councilors rose from their seats and began exiting the chambers. I was able to catch a few scowls aimed at my direction. I took one final look at the treacherous Jedi and scoffed before switching off my hologram projector. This is far from over, boy.

With the verdict coming down in favor of my brother and his students, you would think that I'd be in higher spirits.

But knowing Fey'lya the way I do, I know that this isn't over...not by a longshot. I know that he has something up his sleeve, I just don't know what it is. I have no choice but to keep alert and be ready for when he makes his next move...because if I've learned anything in my years of dealing with the likes of Fey'lya, its that there is nothing more dangerous than a Bothan who's had his pride wounded.

HK-47

Mustafar - Outside the Mensix Corp Headquarters

"Objection: How dare you! The BlasTech E-11 blaster rifle is clearly the better weapon. The BlasTech DLT-20A blaster rifle is simply too cumbersome in short-range encounters!"

The AK-1A booped in disagreement.

"Observation: A droid of your low processing power just simply wouldn't understand!"

The AK-1A cheeped.

"Statement: Of course I'm not getting rid of either! What do I look like, a protocol droid!?"

The AK-1A battle droid looked over the heavily-equipped assassin droid carrying an E-11, DLT-20A, two SE-14r's, MiniMAG PTL, and enough explosives to blow up 10 Jedi with. HK-47 would know. It looked like the droid had had a bit too much fun looting his fallen Stormtrooper victims.

The AK-1A beeped in agreement still.

"Clarification: Do I look like a sane protocol droid?"

The AK-1A simply kept its archaic visual cues silent.

MensixMiningFacility.jpg

The two droids stopped only less then a quarter mile away from the Mensix Headquarters. Two patrolling Northern Mustafarians froze in fear as they looked off from the high catwalk at the murderous droids not far from them.

“S-s-stop right w-where you are ..." one replied as he aimed with his Mustafarian rifle, shaking.

The HK droid looked down at its still body. "Observation: I believe I'm already doing that."

"W-well continue to stay still! Voru, get Chief Armstrong!"

"Statement: Ooooh yes, good idea! My behavior core would appreciate it!"

As Voru ran to go inside the facility, HK-47 took a headshot at the Mustafarian with his DLT-20A.

"Sithspit clanker! He was going to get the Chief just like you wanted!"

"Statement: Oh he was going to get him? I apologize for that, all you meatbags look the same."

“ENOUGH!" screamed a voice from some loudspeakers. "Should've known those frelling Imperials wouldn't finish the job."

"Query: I believe my audio sensors are picking up a fleshling by the designation of 'Armstrong.'"

"Code red, this is a code red!" Sirens throughout the facility sprang to life. Mustafarian soldiers came pouring out from the structure.

"Recitation: 'Armstrong' ... where have I heard that name before ..."

"This is it droid! You won't escape this time!"

"Statement: Oh yes! I remember now. Recitation: 'I can assure a "running of your intestines through a meatgrinder" if that is what you suggest.' But where will I find a meatgrinder at this late hour!? I can't go back on my promise now!"

The AK-1A beeped in agreement, its gears shaking as dozens of rifles were pointed at it.

Guards immediately begin opening the shackles binding us. Han gives me his 'I knew it' grin, Wedge smiles in triumph, and I feel relief from my students. But Leia's expression remains very conservative. And I can't help but share her feelings on the matter. This is far from over.

I walk over to Leia. "I think my students could use some real quarters to stay in. And I think the three of us need to have a talk." I look over to Han and get his 'What did I do?' look.

The more things change...

"Uh-oh."

Wedge gives me a look. I just shrug.

"You know how it is, pal. We may not have the Force, but we have intuition. I just got a funny feeling."

I turn away from Luke and Leia and put an arm around one of Luke's students.

"The name's Boloon, isn't it? Waddya say to having a celebratory drink with Wedge and I?"

hucbannercopy.png

I zoom through CorSec air space, the excitement of being home growing and growing as I get closer to the surface of the planet. I can only pray that the killer isn't going for us, and that my parents and friends on the planet are okay.

I set down on the platform Sergeant Pyne designated for the Dreams and I to land on, and instantly tow familiar presences in the Force well up inside me. I pop the hatch open and rush out to find my mother and father standing on the other side of the platform along with Pyne. I approach them, and give them a solemn bow, "I'm glad to see you're okay."

"I should be saying the same, son," Dad says smiling.

Mom smiles and gives me a hug, "What are you doing home?"

I motion back at the Dreams as it lands behind me, "We're tracking a serial killer through the galaxy. He uses a red lightsaber and is apparently targeting Force sensitives. A lead on Nar Shadaa led us here. So here I am."

"Even as a Jedi you're doing CorSec work," Pyne says chuckling.

"Exactly," I return his laugh. "And I'm going to have to ask a favor Sergeant. Mom and Dad need to stay here for protection. Yes, Dad, I know you're an officer, too. But this guy is more dangerous than anything you've ever come across."

They both nod and agree as Joren, Mission, and the crew of the Dreams approach. I smile and introduce my friends, "Mom, Dad, Sergeant, these are my friends and allies. This is Mission and Joren, two fellow apprentices, and the rest are the crew of the Darq Dreams."

"Nice to meet you everyone," Mission says before turning to Dad. "Are you the one that taught him to be so cocky? Or did he get that on his own?"

"Hey!"

"I'm afraid that's a Corellian thing, darling," Mom answers. "It's nice to meet you all."

I smile at my Corellian brother, "Sounds like a great idea to me. Luke...could you join us? I could use some advice. Ackbar has given me clearance to reform my own version of Rogue Squadron, and I could use your expert opinion on new recruits."

"And I wouldn't want to miss the family discussion," I say winking at Han.

booloncopy.png

I am glad that we have been acquited. I was beginning to fear for the worst. Though, I should have known better. Mister Skywalker kept his composure and remained brave during the brief trial, I should have trusted in him and done the same.

"Uh-oh."

Wedge gives me a look. I just shrug.

"Boolon, yes," I say correcting the human. Though I fear I may have come off as too harsh-sounding...

"Though, you are welcome to refer to me as Boloon if you find it easier on your tongue, whatever you feel more comfortable with."

"Waddya say to having a celebratory drink with Wedge and I?"

I am not much of a drinker and I find that it takes very little alcohol to intoxicate me. However, to turn down such an offer would offend the human. Or at least, I think would.

"Erm, yes, of course. It would be a pleasure to get more acquainted with you...Captain Solo? Correct?"

"You can call me Han, Boolon. Sorry about messing up your name, I really am. It'll be just one drink, since I'm not sure if Jedi can get wasted or not. Might need to check with your master on that one."
