"Gotcha"
Talon Leader grinned.

Opening comms to all heads, Myn dropped in on the starboard flank of Skywalkers X-Wing, peeling off shots as they flew.

"All Talons, form up on Rogue Two. Covering fire, just like we simmed".

A series of double-clicks acknowledged the remaining Talons confirmations and the series of purple tainted X-Wings began what was possibly their final run.

I close my eyes, putting myself at one with the Force before opening them again. Laser fire tears up the space around me, and the stalk of the Destroyer looms larger than life, and yet I'm utterly calm.

Which is the exact moment I kick the engines into high and start flying like a maniac.

I fire off a few shots from my quad laser. It's not going to do any real damage at this range, but it should get those gunners trained on me. And it does.

With the Talon's staying back, I put on a acrobatic display that makes both my x-wing and Artoo groan with the strain of it all. I spin and weave, rise and dive, all at seemingly random intervals. Random to everyone else, especially the gunners. But not random to me at all. I can sense where every blast is going to be, feel just where I need to put myself to avoid the next blast, and the several that will follow that.

The sheer amount of turbolaser fire heading my way must mean I have the destroyer's commander scared out of his wits, as I continue on my apparent suicide run. And the closer I get, the more firepower converges on me as I bare straight down on the bridge.

I barely register a squad of TIE's on the rear of my scope. "Artoo," I say as if I was ordering breakfast, rather than facing down a Star Destroyer virtually alone. "Divert power to the rear screens."

Artoo's message is one of sheer surprise.

"Deflector's won't do much against those turbolasers anyway," I say, hoping I won't need them with the Talon's backing me up.

Myn leapt in behind the squad, their focus being on taking down the Jedi, they barely registered the incoming threat. Sqeezing the trigger, all four laser pumped full hot bursts into their flanks.

Nine and Three, forming a wedge with Talon One, fired too, lighting up the squadron and breaking them. The turbolasers were working overtime, making Skywalker fly in a manner that took Donos' breath away. The kid was making his X-Wing do things that Myn didn't believe any starfighter was capable of.

As awe-inspiring as it was though, he had a job to do and whilst most of that fire was concentrated on the Rogue, the Talons were being weeded out too. Myn watched as Five and Two flickered out of existence on his screen.

Despite this though, the Talons and Skywalker were almost upon the Bridge.

Joren nods to Vartok. Times like these are difficult enough as it is, but he feels better knowing that he will have someone that he can trust watching his back. He knows that having Mission along will make their task that much easier.

"Good idea, we might need a quick getaway if things don't go as planned."

Within moments, several of the Imperial troops move into position and begin opening fire on the Jedi and Mandalorians. Ordo and his men lay down cover fire as Dono and Joren, along with Mission quickly move toward the enemy.

Using the Force to give him extra exertion, Joren leaps at the Imperials, igniting his lightsaber while still in midair. He swings his lightsaber in a wide arc as he lands, and as his feet touch the ground, so do the heads of three of the enemy troops.

"This way!" Joren calls back, as he rounds a corner and heads into the station.

"Concentrate all fire on that x-wing!" the Captain shouts to no one and everyone.

"We already are, Captain!" his first officer shouts back from the weapons station.

From the viewport, the Captain could actually see the lone x-wing screaming along the hull of his ship right at the bridge. The bridge itself being bathed in flashes of light from the lasers.

"Where are those shields?!" the Captain shouts, panic starting to seep into his voice as the x-wing gets closer.

"Destroyed, sir."

"To hells with this. I'm not going to die this way." The Captain starts running from the viewports, and down the walkway towards the turbolift.

"Captain!"

I can hear Artoo's cries of worry, and can imagine the translation screen scrolling with everything he's saying. But my eyes remain firmly closed. I can't afford any distraction on my suicide run.

"Almost there...." And still I wait. The engines literally scream with the power I'm running through them.

"...NOW!!!"

I pull back on the stick as hard as I can. Without me even saying a word I can tell Artoo is putting extra power in to the thrusters. I just don't know where he's pulling it from.

And the ship responds, it's nose rising, rising, rising.

The skin of the destroyer's stalk passes beneath that of the x-wing at a dizzying speed. And then we're back into space.

I watch the rear scopes for the next part of the plan. Artoo bloops at me.

"...No, I don't want to know how close that was."

Leia watches as the others move into the station proper, with the Imperials tasked with guarding the docking bay torn as to what they should do, pursue the intruders or prevent their allies from gaining entrance as well. It seems that they are not in agreement as to what it is they should do, as several of the troops follow the Jedi students and the Mandalorian...while the others stay behind and attack the rest of the landing party.

"I'd like Leia to stay behind, too. But knowing her, I'll have an easier time fighting the stormtroopers than fighting her."

Leia lets Han's remark go unanswered for several seconds as she takes the time to place a well aimed blaster bolt into the chest armor of one of the Imperials, leaving a burning hole in his chest, and the acrid smell of burned plasteel and flesh in the air.

"You got that right, flyboy."

The people of Corellia watched as several large pods entered the planet's atmosphere above the capitol city of Coronet. Not knowing what was inside the pods, the people of the city found themselves gripped with fear.

The pods landed all over Coronet, making little impact as they touched down. There was no explosions, as many had feared...there were no legions of stormtroopers overrunning the city. The pods just stood there like foreboding statues, promising imminent devestation.

Five pods in all made landfall, all but one surviving the descent from the bowels of the star destroyers from which they were deployed. All over the city, people gather, looking on at the pods not sure exactly what it is they should do.

Many of the Corellians run, knowing that whatever it is inside them cannot be good. However, more than a few remain true to their Corellian heritage and find themselves compelled to investigate the massive pods.

Just outside of Treasure Ship Row

Cal Pariz approaches the large landing pod that has just touched down outside of the famed marketplace, unsure just what to do. He had only been a member of CoreSec for six standard weeks before the Imperials attacked, and standing before the pod he suddenly realizes that he is very much out of his depth in this situation.

Yet he lets the very nature of his position in CorSec, as well as his natural curiosity get the better of him...and he moves closer to the pod to investigate it.

He looks around, finding no clues as to what the pod could be carrying inside, and is about to com his superior officer and get further instructions when he hears a sound coming from inside. He hears what sounds to be some sort of shuffling inside the pod. This sudden sounds sends him bounding back several feet.

Then the pod begins to open.

Cal steps alittle closer to the pod in an attempt to get a better look at what is contained within, and he immediately wishes that he hadn't. Fear grips him, and he wants to run...run as far away as he can. However, his feet won't move. Fear has frozen him in place, and the only thing he can do is mutter his final words.

"By the stars!"

Barrett continues smoking his cigar when Lowenstein says, "Sir I just picked up a signal of something that just entered the atomsphere attempting to track the trajectory through their comm signals."

He puts out the cigar. Terrific just what we need.

Lowenstein says, "They impaced at Coronet sir."

Barrett lets out a deep breath and says, "Damn. I'll bet a year's pay I know what it is."

Lowenstein asks, "What sir?"

Barrett replies, "Something we can't stop from here. The best we're gonna be able to do is get to Coronet after the fact."

Lowenstein asks, "Does that mean..."

Barrett replies, "Rule #1 of warfare" He looks right at her and says,"People die and rule #2: Rule #1 can never be changed."

Barrett looks off into the distance and says, "Winslow!"

Computer Tech Winslow approaches and says, "Yes sir."

Barrett says, "I need you to whip me up a computer virus. The nastier the better. Embed it with Lowenstein's device. Need it in 2 minutes."

He nods and begins his work.

Barrett replies, "The rest of you gear up. We're taking a field trip".

Barrett watches as everyone gathers their gear.

We might not be able to stop what's about to happen but we might be able to hold the line.

"You got that right, flyboy."

"Have I told you lately I love you?" I ask with a smile. Leveling my blaster, I strike another Imperial in the head and watch him collapse to the ground.

Within moments, several of the Imperial troops move into position and begin opening fire on the Jedi and Mandalorians. Ordo and his men lay down cover fire as Dono and Joren, along with Mission quickly move toward the enemy.

"Well, they seem to be getting along good. What do you say if you, me, and Chewie go a more stealthy approach?"

With Leia still providing cover, I race over to the side of the docking bay and kick open a grate. The air duct is roomy enough for even Chewie to navigate through. I squeeze off a couple more shots to put the Imps on their heels and allow Leia and Chewie a chance to run over. "Let's go!"

Myn watches as Skywalker lifts his X-Wing, turbolaser streaking in his wake. Donos and the few remaining Talons swooped in his wake.

Without speaking, Donos glanced at the confirmation that Shiner had armed his remaining payload of torpedoes. "Talons, arm all torps, quad lasers on full power. Let's light 'em up!"

Once more, a series of double clicks in his headset confirmed reciept of orders. Donos angled the X-Wing and glanced at his screen seeing the remaining Talons form up into a wedge with him at the tip.

The Bridge of the Destroyer loomed large in front of him. Myn squeezed the trigger and launched his missiles.

All around him, the rest of the squad did the same, the dark sky lighting up from the azure trails mixing with the hot redness of their laserfire.

The Talons package slammed into the unprotected transparisteel of the Bridge and erupted the command centre in a bright explosion that rocked Donos X-Wing.

Rolling around, he angled away as a deep groaning came from the Star Destroyer. Myn opened comms and allowed himself a grin. "Phenominal work, Talons! Great shooting!"

Shiner tweetled happily and brought up schematics, showing the Star Destroyer dropping from its orbit. Skywalker appeared to be flying free too. "Great work Rogue Two. I've never seen flying like that! You're something else, kid!"

KEYAN RAIKO

Keyan opened his eyes, and found himself staring into the ground. Dragging hands through the dirt, he managed to get a position under himself and rise up onto his knees. Glancing around, his surroundings were dark, lit only by streaks filtered through cracks in the roof. The walls were bare and rugged, etched out of rock. The door, steel and pitted with an age of rust held him captive inside.

Keyan found his feet and made his way over, peeking out of the small bars in the door. The area beyond was also dimly lit, but Keyan could make out other cells much like the one he was in, formed around a semi-circle.

The last thing he remembered was the fight with K'nulls men.

Then it hit him.

Adela and Jaden.

Gripping the bars, Keyan threw his weight against the door. "HEY! LET ME OUT!"

His cry was met with silence.

"Can anyone hear me? HELP!"

KEYAN RAIKO

Countless hours had passed. With no sense of time or the cycles of day and night, Keyan had merely sat hunched in the corner of his cell, his thoughts lost in a myriad of dark subjects. Mostly though, he feared for his wife and his son.

Harrar K'null was a criminal, Keyan knew that much. A smuggler, information broker and racketeer. Keyan would never have imagined that he was into kidnapping people though. Were Adela and Jaden sat rotting in a cell like he was? Or had a worse fate befallen them?

Keyan was torn from his thoughts by heavy bootsteps outside of the cell. Not looking up, he listened to the hushed whispers of his captives before the familiar clicks of the old keypad that opened his cell door.

He did look up now, as a dark shadow loomed above him. "It's your turn".

Keyan glared at the huge Duros in front of him. "For what?" he asked.

The lipless mouth of his captor curled upwards, the red eyes appearing to shine in the gloom. "Oh, you'll see soon enough".

Keyan was grasped roughly and dragged to his feet, his wrists were tied together and he was marched out of the cell where a Weequay and a droid guard also stood waiting. The three of them marched Keyan down a dark corridor. At the far end he could light piercing through a rock covered entrance. From the other side, he could hear the muffled baying of what seemed to be a throng of people. Keyan half turned to his guards and scowled. "What's going on?"

"Quiet!" the Weequay barked and shouldered him forward towards the entrance.

Keyan was thrown against the rock wall and the Weequay pulled out a knife, holding it up to Keyan, almost for inspection. Keyan swallowed hard as he eyed the blade. Before he could react, the Weequay brought the blade down.

Keyan winced for a second before the blade dropped between his hands and cut his bonds. Then the knife was thrust into his palms and he was spun towards the entrance.

Keyan tried to question the guards, but both the Weequay and the Duros were disappearing back into the shadows. Only the droid remained. "Can you tell me what's happening?" Keyan queried.

The Droid merely clicked and groaned, leaving Keyan unsure as to whether it wouldn't -or couldn't- speak. As he considered his next move, the huge rock covering the entrance to the tunnel rolled back and the Droid led him through the gateway.

Key found himself standing in a dusty bowl, each side littered with stands of people from many species, baying and hooting. Glancing at the knife in his hand, realisation slid upon Keyan like a dark cloak. The droid stepped forth and began to introduce Key to the crowd. The noise tuned out of Keyans head though as from two other entrances, two more slaves were marched into the arena. And from the opposite side, from behind a metal cage, a trio of Nexu stalked into the dusty pit....

"Commander!" The Commander turns to the lieutenant, and even the Captain stops running at the shout. They see the lieutenant point out the window and look as the lone x-wing pulls up at the last moment. The bridge rattles from the x-wing's engines it gets so close.

The Captain sighs with relief, until his commander stomps up to him. "Captain, I hereby charge you with cowardice in the face of duty and place you under arrest."

"You...what? He was going to ram us!"

"And you ran." The Commander's voice leaves no room for argument.

"...Commander..." This time, the lieutenant's voice was very different. The two officers look out the viewports, only to see a volley of proton torpedoes bearing down on them.

"We have to run!"

"No."

"But we'll die."

The Commander straightens up and stares his former commanding officer down. "It's more then you deserve."

I smile and spin my fighter around. "Thanks, but let's never do that again." I try to ignore for the moment that there are still five more Star Destroyers out there.

"Artoo, status of the destroyer?" I read on the screen as the destroyer's engines begin to flicker and it starts losing it's fight against Corellia's gravity.

Then Artoo starts bleeping hurriedly and showing me different sensor scans.

"What are those?" From several Destroyer's, a half dozen pods streak towards the planet below. And Artoo's reply fills me with dread. Troop ships.

There trying to land an army on the planet.

"Hold on, Artoo, we're going after them." I kick the engines forward and angle towards Corellia. "Rogue Two to Talon One, the Imperials just launched some transport pods and I'm going after them. Good luck with the fight up here."

"And may the Force be with you."

"I'm going with you, Rogue Two," I say, dropping into formation behind Master Skywalker. "If they're landing troops down there, they're going to need all the help they can get. And I'm not about to let Corellia be occupied."

"Guess I'm coming too, then," Corran says, joining the two of us. "I have just as much of a reason to be down there. Of course, that's unless you want to steal all the glory like you usually do, Luke," he jokes.

"Well, now that you mention it..." I say with a grin.

The three of us chase down the pods, but by the time we catch up, they're already entering the atmosphere.

"Ok, guys. It's about to get rough." A second later, we hit the more dense parts of the atmosphere at full speed, and my x-wing starts shaking violently, alarms going off at the quickly rising temperature. I lose the pod we're chasing in the clouds for a moment, but I can still feel it out there and take a shot.

When we burst through the clouds, I can see I hit it, part of its hull smoking. What I don't expect is the large chunk of hull I blasted off flying back and striking me.

Artoo screams as one of the stabilizers fail and I have to fight the stick with everything I have to keep from going into a tail spin.

"Artoo! Lock that down!" He bloops rapidly, but I can't afford the time to pay attention to him. All I can do is try and keep control and follow the pod's smoking trail to the ground...

Joren, Dono and Mission quickly make their way down the massive corridors of Centerpoint Station. They have run for what seems like kilometers without coming across a single Imperial trooper.

The overall secrecy of the station has proven to be a problem, not only do they not know what kind of security measures the station employs, but they don't know exactly where they are going. There are no schematics, no floor plans, nothing to indicate where they need to go, or what to do when they get there.

So they keep running. Joren reaches out in the Force in an effort to find the Imperials, however the station is buzzing with life. Then, Joren feels it...excitement, rage, imminent victory...and fear.

Somewhere in the station, there was a battle raging between the Imperials and the Centerpoint Security forces...and there are others not involved in the fight near by, cowering in fear...and then it dawned on him...the battle is taking place in or near a settlement on the station itself.

"Follow me!" Joren calls to the others as they race toward a pair of repulsorlifts near the end of the corridor.

"Have I told you lately I love you?" I ask with a smile. Leveling my blaster, I strike another Imperial in the head and watch him collapse to the ground.

"Well, they seem to be getting along good. What do you say if you, me, and Chewie go a more stealthy approach?"

Chewie and I run over to Han, who is standing right at the air duct. Chewie fires several bolts from his bowcaster as we run, each hitting their target. Finally we reach Han, and I look into the air duct and am instantly transported back to another time.

I am on the original Death Star, Luke and Han had just attempted to rescue me, but we are trapped in the prision section of the station...with only way out...

A blaster bolt flies past my head and imbeds itself into the wall, and I am yanked back into the hear and now.

"We really do need to stop meeting like this..." I say as I make my way into the surprisingly roomy air duct.

Winslow approaches Barret and says, "Virus is loaded. If anyone attempts to disconnect Lowenstsin's device the virus will be released. If they destroy it the virus is released."

Barrett asks, "What will it do?"

Winslow replies, "Shut down the entire Imperial Internal network. They'll eventually get it back and running but not after considerable effort."

Barrett says, "Gear up now."

Winslow leaves and Barrett leaves the main panel partially open.

Sauce for the goose.

He sees everyone is ready and he says, "All-right single file behind me keep up we got a beaut of a trek ahead of us. See those streaks in the sky. We follow them. MOVE OUT!"

Barrett and his unit depart for the capital.

Chewie and I fire off a few more covering shots before running into the air duct behind Leia. "Look on the brightside, at least we're not depending on Threepio and Artoo to save us this time."

Leia leads the way up into the air system while I'm wedged between her and my hairy first mate. The duct takes on a steady incline as cold air begins to pour through. "Getting a bit chilly all of a sudden I think we need to get in touch with Joren and the Mandos, see where they're at and try to set up a rendezvous. That is if we can find out where exactly this leads."

"Nrr! Wff!"

"Well, I'm sorry I didn't have time to stop and ask directions. Maybe we should have asked some of the pleasant stormtroopers trying blow off our heads?"

I make my way into the duct fighting the urge to shutter due to the cold. We have to be sure that this station doesn't become a weapon for the Empire...this station in Imperial hands would be potentially more devestating than a hundred Death Stars.

And few know the devestation that such a weapon could cause better than me. The thought that Centerpoint Station could be used to destroy another planet...or an entire system for that matter pushes me onward.

"Good idea, why don't you try to raise them on your comlink?"

"Alright."

I step back, flicking on the commlink with my free hand. "Han to Joren, Han to Joren. What's your current location? Leia, Chewie, and I are traveling through the station via the air conditioning ducts. We need to set up some kind of rendezvous with you and the Mandos somewhere, work together to take this station back."

As they take the turbolift toward the fight inside the station, Joren hears his comlink beep.

"So just keep crawling through this thing until we hear people fighting? Directions sound simple enough. If we come across a security post on our way to meet you, we'll drop in on 'em and try to get a good readout of where the Imperials are in the station."

"Sounds like a plan. But Han, I sensed that there are people caught in the middle of the fire fight. Maybe if you can locate what we might be dealing with, we'll have a better chance of getting everyone out safely."

"Alright, I'll see what I can do. Solo out."

I disengage Joren and look over at Leia. "Sounds like a piece of cake."

"You okay back there, Rogue Two," Corran asks as he and I evade the debris from the damaged pods. I bring my craft in behind Luke, as a trail of fine smoke exudes from the top right of its back end.

We rapidly approach the ground, and Luke pulls up, but barely. The three of us skim over the surface of the planet's surface, and I somersault back towards the pod, just as it begins to open.

"May the Force be with us..." I mutter as its contents come into the light.

"Need some help, Rogue One?" Gavin says as he, Hobbie, and Janson come back to form up with Androoni, Red Squadron, and me.

"Good job taking out that Destroyer, Rogue Four," I respond as I vaporize a TIE that crosses my path, before dropping in behind another and blowing its wing off. I drop back in formation with the other Rogues. "Let's take care of this station and let Han do his job in there. Be ready for Imperials escaping, as well. We don't want anyone getting away."

"Copy that, Rogue Leader," Janson replies.
