Was the dispute between the Gungans and the Nabooians originally supposed to be over their separate races? It may've drawn a bit of controversy, but I think if it was originally intended to be done in that manner, Lucas should've gone on and done it.

Lucas had no idea what he was doing when he made the prequels.

I love the Original Trilogy and Revenge of the Sith.

Phantom Menace was alright IMO. Hated Attack of the Clones though.

OK THAT part I did like. lol.


But the rest was ugh. The whole romance thing between Padme' and Anakin was poorly written.

"I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and it gets everywhere."

Hate that line.

I really liked AOTC as well. I thought it got the prequels back on track. Hayden Christenen was a vast improvement over Jake Lloyd. I also liked Ewan MacGregor's performance as Obi Wan better than in TPM.

AOTC wasn't perfect. The romance wasn't handled well. I still can't quite understand Padme's fairly casual reaction to Anakin admitting he slaughtered a whole village. I never got why the Jedi or Republic just accepted a Clone Army created for mysterious reasons either.

However, I liked the Separatists, I liked Dooku and how he was sort of a gray character at first-you didn't know exactly why he was doing what he was doing. (I thought it would've probably been cooler if he hadn't been a Sith, but was actually trying to remove Sidious/Palpatine from power, but going about it the wrong way).Alas, I enjoyed his fight with Yoda-though admittedly it wasn't as good as the Darth Maul fight in TPM-which is the only reason I will rewatch TPM.

not really interested in the clone wars cartoon. the whole over-the-top-ness (which is always confused with epicness) of all things prequels don't feel much like Star Wars to me. I'd like to see the live action series take a more down to earth approach to the action.

but I still say the best thing to do would be a pre-ANH Timm/Dini "Adventures of Han Solo" cartoon with Chewie and Lando as part of the supporting cast.

Well, from the preview, of the Clone Wars series, we got, I think it looks awesome. I'll leave it at that until we get more news and previews.

As for the Live Action TV show...From what we've heared, it seems to be heading into the right direction. They said it will be a much darker, more character-based series and much more adult. Set between Episode 3 and Episode 4.
Latest news we had on this project was that they were searching for writers...some of those considered have written for "Lost" and "Heroes".

I like the fact that they are possibly going to include Boba Fett's early carrer in some of the live action episodes, they are even getting the actor who played child boba to return....
