There was a similiar thing like that when Jack was in control of the SGC but in reverse. Sam wanted a funeral for Daniel & Jack kept saying no the minute we start saying nice things about him he will pop up like he always does & then he shouts out do you hear me. Jack did not say that exactly like that but something very similiar & well Daniel was dead but then he got ascended & they sent him back to the SGC with full memory a few minutes later

I guess Carter & Co learned a thing or two from Jack

hey, anyone have a theory as to why the bomb they ringed over to the Ori ship didn't explode? I mean, we know the concept works (as proven by Daniel's alive status). So why didn't it work?

Anybody also think, that it would be an obvious tactic to carry around one of those prior neutralizers? Daniel sure would have been in a better position to cap that one eyed bastard if he was de-powered.

Anybody think that the secret to defeating the Ori ships will be to assassinate the priors on the ship. They obviously control the technology, maybe even power it.

Anyone find it interesting that Vala's daughter can control fire, and that was Daniel's first learning step in reaching ascention?

Loved Vala, she's much less annoying when she's sassing the villains instead of our hero's. But her part is well written. Loved the bit about the step mother's name. And Daniel's reaction. That whole part was well played.


as for SGA, anyone think that our new human/ ex-wraith will be very useful? Do you think that they may now be a form of human closer to that of the ancients than our heroes?

My only beef with SGA is, what the hell made the wraith so damn tough for the ancients to beat? And what is it about we pesky earth humans that makes us so tough. I mean come on, we pretty much destroy 2 hive ships in 5 minutes. They just don't seem to be tough enough. Thoughts?

Both epis were good, but SG1 was a little boring, but had a great story. SGA was totally exciting, but lacked story.

Well Daniel didnt actually control the fire when he was trying to learn, Oma just made him think he was.

I expect as soon as the nuke appeared on the ori ship it was detected as a threat and neutralised, Daniel however obviously wasnt going to blow up so they may only detect proper threats.

They have already stated on the show that the only thing that the wraith had on the Ancients was sheer numbers, They just kept coming and coming kinda like the Vietnam war in space. SGA never faced the Wraith at full force because they were hibernating and spread out through the Pegasus galaxy except for the one episode when they attacked Atlantis and the SGA team had to trick them into thinking the city was gone.

yes, oma was controlling the flame. Which makes me think the same about little ***** (that's my new name for her).

and I guess it's clear that she too is deteriorating like Orlen did last season, because she's getting headaches.

so here's the big question. Are the ancients the tok'ra version of the goauld. Which ancient culture was the first? Are the ancients a 'good' offshoot of the evil Ori society? Or are the Ori an evil offshoot of the goodguy ancient society?

I think at the moment we are supposed to believe that the Ori left the ancients to set up their own society. But of course that may change as we learn more.

Adria mentioned that she had as much knowledge placed into her that could be stored inside a human brain, I think by doing that she'll prolly be safe from the same fate as Orlin.

Here is my idea about this: The Ori were a religous minority within the Ancient sociaty. When they left the Ancients weren´t concerned since they had numerical superiority and could easily deal with the Ori should the Ori ever become aggressive.

The Ori however found a way to increase the individual power of it´s members by feeding of the worship of lesser beings. The meant that the much smaller Ori population was able to go toe-to-toe with the Ancients.

Im still wondering if we're gonna get a twist in this whole thing seeing as we have now heard from both the Ancients and the Ori on who is the badguy.

Obviously we are gonna trust the ancients at the moment but id like it if theres something more to this whole thing that we dont know yet. I dont just want season 10 ending with SG1 finding the Ancient weapon they need to destroy the Ori, I hate it when they have to go find new weaponry to take on enemies.

I like when they've got quests strung out over half a season to find new weaponry, I just don't like it when that weaponry literally eliminates the enemy entirely. They could've had some good stories out of the Replicators still, but that's not an option now. I would've liked to see how the Ori dealt with the Replicators, too.

I'm hoping there's more to the philosophy behind either side than what we've been told so far, too. It'd be cool if the Ancients really do sap energy from the people of the galaxy to gain strength against the Ori, but it's like a misguided ends-justify-the-means scenario because the Ori really are evil.

They could've had some good stories out of the Replicators still, but that's not an option now. I would've liked to see how the Ori dealt with the Replicators, too.

The Replicators / human form Replicators is one reason why Jack goes to Atlantis. To help them out against them

What was everyone elses opinions on the human replicators when they were introduced? Personally i didnt like them, I thought the replicators seemed a lot more dangerous when they were just bugs.

I did not care much for the Human Replicators. But the bug ones were good & heck they gave an advanced race like the Asgard a run for their money Hopefully once Atlantis starts blowing up the Human Replicators the bug ones come into play. Then Thor & gang can step in to help eventually

Another question, what exactly are the ancients standards for killing people. I mean Oma Wiped out numerous jafa just for coming to Keb to search for the Harsesis child but she banishes Daniel for attempting to stop Anubis from wiping out an entire planet full of innocent people. Can you say double standard?

Actually he just said that because they were about to blow something up for the first time & the Asgard that lended them some Asgard weapon thingy chickened out to be there & just wished them good luck & then left. Thor would have stayed

We need to see Jack & Thor together again when the S-G1 Movie starts coming together. Thats a must especially if the Movie will end S-G1. Well S-G1 can continue on its always a possibility the interview said but the S-G1 Movie has a very good chance of ending S-G1. So either way we need to see Jack & Thor together in the Movie at least when its time for that to happen

If you must know I came very late into Stargate SG1. Saw a re run of the very first Episode of SG1 last summer. Next day brought all available seasons on DVD & caught myself up in a week or two. That was a good summer. So I probably dont know most of the small details like that
