Geez, you guys are jerks. The guy's a fan, just like you. Geekier, sure, but I don't think it's fair to hate on him just because he tried to channel his love of SG-1 into something creative.

Now, hating on him for the quality of that creative venture, on the other hand... ;)
 
Regardless of the quality, that's not the place for it. The panels are supposed to be about listening to the cast and crew talk about projects and tell stories. Not listening to some fan sing a damn song.
 
Hmm, fair enough. I guess he should've sung to them at their autograph table, if anything.
 
Exactly, I don't have a problem with him having a lot of SG love, or even finding a creative way of channeling that. If he wants to put it on youtube for everyone to see great. But I mean the question portion of these panels doesn't exactly last for hours, so I'd rather not have him sing for part of that time. Otherwise, sweet buddy more props to him for even coming up with it.
 
fans should express their love for the product in a mature and tasteful way....I know thats asking a lot but I can only pray....
 
"Mature" and "tasteful" are pretty subjective. The stars themselves weren't nearly as offended at the dude's song as all the fans were.
 
well if you want to "sing" something and room of a few hundred people boo you and tell you to get off the mike....the mature thing would be to sit down and shut up or come up with a question to ask...

I think Christopher was trying to be neutral, and Ben looked a little uncomfortable. Amanda was the only one trying to be nice. Gary pretty much told the guy to **** off.
 
the look on Bens' face said "he seems really nice but why do we get the ****ed up fans??"....

Stargate Atlantis's 20-episode fifth season begins July 11 at 10 p.m. The new season introduces a powerful new race and will feature the show's 100th episode. Robert Picardo joins the regular cast as Richard Woolsey, and fan favorite Paul McGillion returns for five episodes as Dr. Carson Beckett. Amanda Tapping (Col. Samantha Carter) and Stargate SG-1 star Michael Shanks (Daniel Jackson) will also appear as special guest stars this season.

He's been humbled enough over the years that he should be fine. But I'm expecting a lot of arguing between he and John.
 
Yeah, I foresee a lot of convincing him to not do the weasely thing for the first half of the season, before he finally falls in line and becomes compassionate in the second half.
 
To film Sanctuary for the Sci-Fi channel.... And i believe ITV4 here in the uk will get it

Not the second half, one of the early epsiodes has him questioning himself after choosing the non-regs method to solve a problem.... not sure which episode it is though.
