I can wait....it comes out the week after Comic Con and odds are there might be a screening there as well
OK, I recant.
Continuum was really good. Far FAr FAR better than AOT (which, when compared to this movie, was phoned in). Infact, after watching this, I wonder what they were thinking when they released AOT.
Anyhow, won't reveal much... I thought it was really good, much better than the last movie, or the last couple of seasons.
gripes:
-finally an air to air battle (NO 302s!!!!! because of the alternate reality BOOOOO)
-Why can't they(the badguys) invade earth in our timeline? Earth has been invaded like 5 times on stargate, each time in an alternate universe: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-Daniel's Leg, is it gone, or isn't it. Yes yes, prostethese, but come on, 1 legged man in combat.
These complaints are just little ones, that ironically have persisted for me over the series, so no biggie.
But like I said earlier, I really take back what I said about my expectations for Continuum... because this one is ten times the movie that AOT was. I think the only 'unoriginal' or 'reused' plot point, was how Teal'c gets reintroduced (how many times did they do this in the 10 seasons of sg1)

I agree with all that you've said. I was worried for Continuum, thinking that they're simply re-using a formula that they've used for the show already. But they actually acknowledged that the formula exists, and the situation in the movie was an offshoot of it. I also love all the complex paradoxes and even ethical concerns they raised in the movie.
I really enjoyed it but I thought the ending came about too quickly, also:
It was just a bit annoying getting yet another story where nothing has really happened, with none of the characters remembering any of it. Yeah it was all very cool to see but without it progressing anything then its always a bit of a letdown. Also not nearly enough O'Neill! If they do manage to make more SG1 movies we need him in a full movie.
just a question about the end of continuum
Carter uses Baal's time machine to open a wormhole to earth, via a solar flare that sends Mitchell, the only survivore, back to 1929 earth. At that time period, where is the gate? Where did he arrive? egypt or antartica?

I got home late last night so I could only watch half of it before I zonked out.
