I thought the point of showing stuff at conventions was to thank the fans for taking time out and travelling to the show.....now some toolbox sitting at home with cheeto stained undies gets to see what I had to travel some 3,000 miles for....to hell with that

Well, no offense to you, but it's not exactly possible for everyone to attend every convention. I'm glad this dude found a way to circumvent that rule. That was bloody awesome. Looks like great, classic SG-1 action. It's been so long since I saw Goa'uld motherships in all their awesome glory.

I'd love to be able to attend any kind of Convention, but sadly not everyone has cash they can just spend willy-nilly. Hell i know i don't.

^^^ and that is entirely not my problem....when I went to San Diego last year I got to see both Superman: Doomsday, Doctor Strange, months before their release along with the first trailer for JL: New Frontier....in that is the whole point....they show that stuff to thank the fans who did spend the money and used their vacation time to travel to the Convention....and the staff prowl the panel rooms to make sure people aren't recording....I'll hem someone up if I see it and I dont even work there...so if you are recording something you shouldnt in a panel and you see a 6'2 black man with a Mets hat coming at you...its me coming to bury my size 13 in your pasty behind....the rest of you can just wait like all the other commoners...yes i said WAIT...seems to be a dirty word these days

It's just the principle...I saved and saved to go to SD so I get to see stuff others don't and then taunt them about it upon my return home...

Oh i'm happy to wait.... the first time i saw AoT was when Sky one aired it, despite having access to all the torrent downloads at my fingertips for months.

That stuff as well...I got to talk to Mark Verheiden, Aaron Douglas(chief tyrol on BSG), and David Hewlett(Dr. McKay)...as well as 2 of the programming directors at Sci Fi, and a short conversation with Geoff Johns and Dan Slott.....so i got my moneys worth you could say. I saved all my sick and vacation days to take the week off to go...doing it again this year

O god its such a crime to wait for something....there is that dirty word again...WAIT...Equalize? its not a situation that needs equalizing...no one is being wronged. If you don't go to the convention, you don't get to see certain things....You can't just stroll into a music store and take CD's because you feel you are a fan enough of that artist to have their music. You can't just walk into a game store and take the new GTA because you feel you deserve it. To be completely serious, I wouldn't go running at someone doing that but if they were next to me or nearby I would certainly say something to them....like "cut that out or they'll boot you" I saw 3 people get booted out of Superman Doomsday at SDCC for recording....

I'm not wealthy at all...I just budgeted my money so I could afford to go.....I should get something for the money I spent, even if it is a couple months ahead of when everyone else gets to see the stuff....

maybe....but I'll make sure I take plenty of nice pictures of San Diego when I go to the Convention this year....it may seem whiny, but I think its a valid point....and I don't think I did any name calling in any of my posts...and about half of my last post was light sarcasm...
